Slow no......his skating has improved drastically. He's not a Hal Gill or Andy Sutton ype of slow. He moves like Pronger and hope he develops the nastiness like Pronger had as well.

Actually....he will be Andy Sutton without the huge hits IMO

Pronger eh?
- Pecafan Fan

Don't put words in my mouth.

Not saying he's gong to be an NHL Hall of Famer. Saying he moves like him. Not slow, not fast but better than average skating for a guy that size. He's improved alot on his physical play since arriving at London as well.

He has the nastiness. Remains to be seen if the offensive will improve for him. Because he's still very raw in that department.

Not unlike a certain Chara at the same age.... But Chara had an incredible developmental curve once he joined the big league. So it's a hail-mary of a long shot for Jared.

I'll be happy with a Douglas Murray, though.

Sad to hear this. NCAA hockey is pretty darn good and fun hockey to watch. Especially with you guys having bold teams like BC, BU, UMass and Harvard(for the prestigiousness!).

Also, that Eichel kid will be mad good. He is promised to BC, but things could change, especially since it's Halifax that hold his rights. Expect him to end his USNDT stint with the U-18 next year then move in Halifax.

it is good. but it competes with the Patriots, Celtics and normally the Bruins. so if you are not going or did not got to BU, BC, Northeastern, etc you're likely not to care. not a knock on the level just sort of the pecking order.

I saw him play 5-6 games so far in the AHL on Sportsnet/TVA, he has a long way to go before he has a positive impact on the Habs. He looks pretty slow and that's at the AHL level, can only imagine at the NHL level.

He's not making the NHL this year. Not at all.

He looked slow, but did you see him get beat on the outside or on a puck race? I bet you he did not. His skating is fine. What he has to develop is his body strenght, both upper and lower. Then his confidence with the puck. He's making very good decisions with the puck, and that's what matters. He's a stud defensively. I guarantee you if there's hockey, he's the first callup.

Was Leblanc ready for the NHL last year? Not at all. But he did play 40 or so games. Because of injuries. And with a shortened season like that, it's going to be pulled-groin season my friend. Tinordi is also pretty safe in his zone, which is rather important to NHL coaches. If Markov goes down though *cough*, you might see Beaulieu get a stint in MTL.

What I saw from him what another Hal Gill type, 75% of his attempt clearing his zone were via the glass, doesn't have a quick first step. I am not saying he sucks, he just has a long way to go.

Leblanc is far from impressive in the AHL this year. He is very fragile.

Not only do I think Tinordi plays like Pronger, but he has the potential to be even better!

Leblanc is a decent player but so far it looks like he will be the new Benoit Brunet.
