It's to put pressure on the league. The NHLPA would not exist anymore, they would be a trade association and they could file under the anti trust law in the states.

NBAPA did that last year, they got a deal a few days after. Nobody wants to take this to court...

well a few things became clear after that team Canada collapse

Bruins fans - your boy Dougie is gonna need a few months in the AHL (so not the instant be a difference in the lineup guy you were expecting), good news though he's gonna learn from one of the best all time in Z, and adding Subban to Rask means you guys are set for a decade

Leafs Fans - slow it down on the Rielly love his reliability in his own end has been exposed to the fullest, even if he's a good offensive D, don't you guys already have quite a few of those...a lil AHL action wont hurt there either

Oilers fans - there's something about Nuge, no matter how many multi point games he puts up there's a look of leadership that he seems to lack...even in interviews he's a very nonchalent type of guy, not that there's anything wrong with that but it doesnt necessarily inspire the team a la say Toews, if u arent gonna be the guy who talks in the locker room than you gotta take the game over when its do or die, it seems that C might end up on Hall's chest in the end because of the level of intensity he brings (guy probably can't sit still) even if he doesnt maybe bring the hockey IQ of Nuge, thats something to note

Jets Fans - Schiefele is nice!

Flames Fans - im gonna go ahead and say Geaudreau wont work as effectively in the NHL with that size (sorry) i do hope he proves me wrong though
