being in that position implies that we get top 3 meaning if it were me and based on our needs i'd go for Mackinnon or Barkov, nowhere does it say that i wouldnt take Jones if those 2 werent available

So what if you have too many good D's? It's pretty good assets to have. Look at Pittsburgh with their Goligoski vs Neal trade. Or Carter for Jack Johnson last year for the Kings.
