If No season we could only end up drafting 15-25th range.
- Feeling_Glucky

Then Duclair/Erne first, if they are there. Then Mantha and if around 25th wouldn't mind Gauthier.

In the 2nd round, Carrier, Kostalek, Morin or Gravel.

Barkov and Monahan are two. Prefer Barkov between the two.

Think I'd go in this order.

Jones, Drouin, Mackinnon, Barkov, Lindholm, Monahan.

IMO, Drouin will get drafted behind all of them because of his small size.

And as a habs fan, I want big talented players before small ones.

Russians play is as bad as Canada's play this morning.

They might have got drunk at the same club last night.

I guess he didn't......drafted Fisher.
- ShafterBenRaide

You can thank Wenstrum(sp?) for Fischer. He had coached him previously. Timmins liked Fischer too obviously, but saw a lot of Giroux, and loved him.

There aren't many players I'd take before Giroux.

Drouin is less talented then Giroux from what I have seen so far.

Lindholm right now looks just great. I would take him over Drouin...but then again a 5 games window can be tricky.

I am talking at the same age.

Beside, I would rather have a Mckinnon, Jones or Barkov for the NHL caliber.

Especially playing on international ice which gives advantage to small fast players.

I wonder how the players would of fared on NHL size ice?

I was talking about the frame. But yeah there's a good age difference between the two as Bingo pointed out

Drouin is better than Giroux at the same age. He's a much better skater, which was a concern with Giroux back then.

Giroux had quite the developmental curve after getting drafted, and became one of the best players in the NHL.

As for Lindholm vs Drouin. It's debatable, but I take Drouin for his hockey IQ, and because he's younger. He's going to be a monster when he gets back in the 'Q. As if he wasn't one already.

They are closer to the NHL than Drouin, but that's not the only criteria I look out for.

Right now, would you take Toews or Erik Johnson? Giroux or Jordan Staal?

The ceiling of a player is rather important. That's why I prefer Rielly over Murray/Reinhart.

So apparently Collberg isn't 100%. That's what Timmins told Leroux. Must be why he was pretty inactive in even-strenght, I prefer his game today though.

I also go with what the habs needs.

I personally would feel more comfortable going in the playoffs against the Bruins and Chara with Mckinnon or Barkov or Jones on my team then Drouin.

It's time we get bigger as a team.

Would like to see him in the AHL next year to really judge him.

He is not the biggest guy.

In Other news, Tim Bozon is lighting it up in the WHL right now.

Last night he had 1 goal and 2 assists.

Thats 7 goals and 11 points in his last 4 games

His production is fine, but he should be close to what Forsberg shows, healthy.
Next year he will be dominant at the WJC.

He is pretty thick. 5'11, but a solid frame. Looks much bigger than last year.

I hope he goes to the CHL next year. Blainville needs a few euros, just saying

Wouldn't be far from Brossard

The league has already apparently agreed to two amnesty buyouts, rather than one, which is a small victory for the players. Those buyouts wouldn't count against the cap and would allow for more movement in the system. - Damien Cox
