No. You do not trade Yak.

Not untill his first contract is up. With as much talent as the Oilers have we will be in serious cap trouble with the CBA for many years.

Yak has a high probability to be 50 goal scorer playing with Nuge and Shultz. Hemsky or Hall... Hell even Gagner.

You trade him when his value is through the roof and you know you most likely can't afford to sign him long term.

Get back solid depth players, and/or an ammazing center, and some first rounders.

Make the Oilers a contender for 10+ years.

As much as I would like to think RNH, Smid, and Shultz will sign Oiler friendly contract's I can't see it being low enough to keep the current talent level we have.

Like I said the other day I was playing beer league hockey and a guy on our team brought bob staffer to play and the guy talked after the game what a great guy off the ice and radio but near the end of the night he said don't be surprised if the oilers trade yakapov he's never said it on the radio but he is a oiler staff

Reilly has been real good. Ive been most impressed with Reilly, Harrington and Oullet. It's funny because I've read lots on Reilly but haven't seen him play much till the world juniors. I always figured he'd be a high offensive spark plug that may make the risky play and have lots of turnovers but he hasn't been that way at all. Great two way defenseman. Goes to show you that "offensive dman" doesn't mean risky.

Rielly has been good mainly because whenever he plays with Ryan (frank)ing Murphy he has to stay back, because Murphy likes to think he is a forward whenever he touches the puck.

Lets not forget how Yakupov put up similar numbers to Stamkos in the OHL, and is putting up better numbers in Russia than Ovechkin and Malkin were at his age. To suggest we should ship him off over a couple of WJC games? Come on clouts. Let the kid play at least one game in the NHL first

Sounds like Nuge at the world juniors. I sure hope this lockout ends soon it would be nice to hit the ground running.

Whats with Arcobello? Ever since they stuck him between Hall n Ebs he's been great. I realize it's easier between players like them but I'm now waiting for a Clouts blog claiming he will be the next 2nd line center after Gagner is traded for Tyler Myers.
