League won't cancel the season....the PA knows it. This negotiation will go until the last minute, no need to get emotional and over analyze things. There will be a season, there is a deal to be agreed to, they aren't that far.

Nah...thought it was gonna get cancelled for the longest time...until the league made their proposal in early December. With their latest league proposal...both side are much closer...

If I'm the players.....I squeeze the owners for what they're worth. Now is the time to deliver the death blow. Redefine HRR, Don't back down from 8 year long contracts, Demand 20% variance to get to 15%. Take this to the final hour, there is no other option.

I disagree. I think Betman and Fehr hate each other so much. I think Fehr is someone you can not trust. He has the players believing that the owners created this mess with the lockout. But look what he did with baseball. They played baseball all season with the hopes of getting a deal done during the season in 94 (like he wanted to do with the NHL), but towards the end of the baseball season, he got the players to strike. THIS IS what Betman wanted to prevent. Fehr would have used the leverage of no playoffs to his benefit, and Betman, and the owners knew it, and that is why we have the lockout.

And Buffalo gets one more year off the Leino contract. Everyone wins!

I don't know how some of these owners and league officials keep their composure around him. I'd be ushered out of the room on a daily basis because I'd make attempts to dive over the table at Fehr. I just hate his face.

They locked out the players, as they most likely did not want the union to strike JUST before the playoffs, like Fehr got the players in baseball to do in 94. Hate Fehr!

The owners have been trying to get a deal done for months now but everytime it looks like a deal is close to getting done Fehr comes in and blows it up, if I were Bettman I would hire a private assassin to take him out so this lockout would end

I am totally pissed at the players. This whole mess is cause of Fehr and the players. I think the next time I hear a player state that they only have so long to make there money. I will go postal on them. Have the over priced bums try working in the real world. They could not do it.
