Thanks a lot. Maybe if we get a bad pick we'll forfeit this one.

Is this draft not supposed to be strong or will next years be even better i would think this years is too good to pass up and if we got a bad pick we would trade up for a top prospect with all of the aging players we have

its supposed to be pretty strong, theres alot of top talent (makkinon sp, seth jones, drouin, just to name a few and there are others) but then just like other drafts the talent drops off but its supposed to be pretty deep this year from what i have read and seen

you can always find steals and good talent in later rounds and stuff

and i doubt we would pass it up this year being in newark and i dont believe we would know the order until after the date the devils would have to forfeit the pick, but im not sure on that

lately it seems like the team hosting the draft has made some big moves on draft day, who knows if the devils will do anything

If there is one thing Lou likes doing it's making a sneaky trade to get ahead. You never know with Lou so it's always a waiting game.

I have no idea how the draft works in the lockout year. I hope somebody can explain how it was done last time because I don't remember.

Last time, it was each team starts out with 3 balls. You can lose up to two balls. The only way to lose balls is having a top overall selection in the past three years or if you've made the playoffs in the last three years.

So the Devils would only have one ball, since they made the playoffs in 2011-2012 and 2009-2010

Haha, try to make the best of it. I personally hate giant crowds. All my friends just get together and keep it low key. the less hassle the better in my opinion.

I'm the same way. It was ok, i survived, had a decent time. Just too much $tre$$ with the whole thing. Yay for the experience, but I'm not doing that again for a long time.

the worst part wasn't that i fell asleep at 6.. it was that most of the other people woke up at 10. 10. YOU'RE AWAKE AT 10AM AFTER BEING UP ALL NIGHT!?!? I thought my brain was going to implode from the lack of sense. Loud and yapping at 10am.. in no rush to actually do anything with the day besides chat about nothing interesting. Marylanders are the strangest people I've ever come across. I stayed in my room for 2 hours after that just to salvage whatever peace that could be found.
