I watched a little bit of the US-Russia game. Seth Jones looks like a horse on the back end

Narrow minded thinking........ won't even bother to try and debate this issue with you.
- faceto27

What is narrow minded about asking someone to speak in terms of profit when he consistently (like multiple times a day) talks about how much revenue the owners are losing.

Here is a clue...

at 50/50 the players are losing as much as the owners... BUT, the owners also don't have expenses.

Therefore, the longer this goes on the more it costs the players as compared to if they were playing.

If you can debate that, please do, I would love to hear it.

If you think there is a bigger picture here that is financially justifiable from the player's point of view, I would like to hear that also.

If you think this changes the "tone" of NHL labor relations, well that and 4.00 will get you a cup of coffee at fourbucks. If the owners feel there is something worth fighting for at the end of the next CBA, they will. I have no idea what the PA supporters are thinking with this. Bob Goodenow and the players sacrificed a whole season in 2004. Did that stop this from happening this time around?

The players are winning nothing short term or long term.

Saying "I won't even bother" in this case is another way of saying "I got nothing".

I see the NHLPA replying with a counter offer that is beyond what the NHL is willing to give and this whole thing blows up. Fehr is a D-bag. The players are rediculous, and both sides will loose big. See you next season....maybe

And the Owners should have realized this as soon as they realized, which was a while ago, they weren't prepared to back up their statements that this is a final offer, and this is a hill we will die on. The players were willing all along to stand by their convictions. Regardless of how much money it cost them.

I don't know how the deal is going to look when finished. But for sure negotiations aren't done.

Thank for admitting why we are where we are and how the PA has cost everyone with their stupidity.

You don't get it. You don't understand. I understand. You don't. It's quite simple. I am here, getting it. You are there, not getting it. So don't kid yourself. If there is anyone who gets it, it's me. If there is anyone who doesn't get it, it's everyone not being me.
