It would work a lot better if we had more people crashing the net, but the wingers were so far wide. Puck movement was dreadfully predictable.

McCabe will probably get suspended for at least a game....just based on the Lipon suspension. Doesn't take much at this tourny to get suspended...even more for head shots.

Good morning all. Watching LeafsTV, they have the Feb 1999 game vs the Hawks, the last game played at the Gardens. Gilmour playing for the Hawks, he's ruining the Leafs tonight. So I must ask, OBVOUSLY in 1999 Gilmour hasn't lost a step, so why did we trade him in 1997? He certainly wasn't finished. Look what the Leafs got in return from NJ for Gilmour:

a D man in Jason Smith who Quinn didn't like & he was traded away for 2 draft picks, & Steve Sullivan who Quinn didn't like & the Leafs put him on waivers, losing him for nothing to Nashville. Lastly, Alyn McCauley who was not a goal scorer & was a just a checker. Verdict: NJ wins the trade.
