So Aves and Nucks have 0? Nucks I'd expect but Aves reall should have some good under 20s. Thats surpising.

Who is the Rangers other player besides JT Miller? Fasth and Lindberg I thought both were too old now to play for the Sweeds.

is it just me or does anyone else feel animosity towards the world jr's too? i can't help but think of the current nhl players who are bargaining the CBA on behalf of future NHL'ers.

i hate that i feel this way but these kids are gonna grow up to be just as greedy as the players before them. tsn was probly hoping for a windfall with no nhl hockey but i just can't stomache watching these games either.

this lockout is having drastic effects

Was at a Bantam house league game and worried that the little (frank)ers might grow up to be greedy pro's who might someday rip off defenseless old billionaire owners.

What is this world coming to?

Yes, Av's and Nucks have zero. All of these kids are 2011, 2012 NHL draft choices or 2013 eligible. As you said, I'd expect the Nucks, although I'm not happy about it. But the Av's surprises me!!

Maybe check their website out?

"All in all, the Blue Jackets have five prospects in this year's World Junior tournament: Boone Jenner (Canada), Oscar Dansk (Sweden), Joonas Korpisalo (Finland), Lukas Sedlak (Czech Republic) and Mike Reilly (USA). It's setting up to be a fantastic tournament, and it all gets under way early tomorrow morning."

Boston leading the way with three drafted players on team Canada, they won the Stanley Cup in 2011. How does that happen?

Ah ok, very little press on him as he's very low in terms of prospect hype. Hoping the Rangers draft a goalie in the second round this year (I believe they still have that pick). Or use all their 3rd rounders to move up into the late first and grab a center.

Or they could just trade us that pick for Bryz...

Brilliant! keep drinking the kool.aid buddy
- seven111dman

So you are in the owners camp, the same owners who keep asking dumb jocks to help them run their business successfully? that makes a ton of sense! the term collective means together and when one side (the owners) keep jamming the other (players) there isn't a collective! where is revenue sharing from the owners? the owners will screw their own partners as soon as the ink dries on the CBA? I'm not drinking kool aid I'm just very aware of who and what the owners are!

Hey Eck, just read that the PA is waiting for the league to respond on a date for negotiating. Just a heads up, no secret negotiations!! Here's what is happening, the League is playing chicken and daring the PA to disband! nothing will happen until after 1/2!! If i was the PA i would disband tomorrow and then once you do don't pull out see it through!! it is apparently clear the owners and Gary Bettman do not take the players seriously nor do they even consider them. the cattle comment is the only comment that made any sense throughout the lockout!
- magarats

The owners have the PA by the short hairs and the players and Donald Fehr know this. If the PA decertifies, the players are automatically looking at minimum another full season missed, possibly two. Decertification will be disasterous for the majority of the leagues players and will in no way assure them victory through litigation. The NHL has an extremely good chance to win the court battles that will ensue.

Even if the PA were to win the legal battle, when the dust settles they will have wasted 2 to 3 years of their careers, many will not return and most likely will not get back the majority if any of the money they've already lost.

IMO the players choice is very clear, take the deal that is currently in front of them or delay and/or destroy the careers of hundreds of players who can't afford to miss another full season or more either due to age or financial issues.

Ek...only one of two things is going to happen next:

- The PA will disband on or before January 2nd
- Talks will resume post January 2nd assuming the PA don't disband

You can take this as absolute certainty...and I only have common sense to back it up.

How would you feel if a guy like Mackinnon or Seth Jones made a strong comment on the lockout (willl never happen). To the effect of, "this is hurting the sport and I know they say they are fighting for guys like us in this CBA but really they are doing more harm than good. They should take the owners offer and play" I wish someone would step up like that.

The problem with guys making comments like that are twofold:

1. they're not educated on the details of the negotiations, so making a comment would be completely unfounded and uneducated
2. they would piss off their future teammates, and opponents...not a good way to start your career

If you recall, Crosby made some 'mild' comments during the last lockout (the year before his draft class), and those comments pissed a lot of the players off.

Maybe not on this site...but the reality is just that.

Why would Betman/Daly risk going into a boardroom with a d*bag that can disband at any moment. If I were the NHL, I'd call their bluff on the DOI and see if they have the balls to follow through. If they don't, I'd schedule a meeting on Jan. 3rd, when the PA doesn't have the leverage.

What is the point? Even if these guys actually felt that way, they'd never make a statement like that to begin with. No matter how this lockout ends, the outcome is never going to affect Blue chip prospects.

Look at the collection of kids the Avs have at 20, 21, 22 years old...... Landeskog, Hishon, Duchene, O'Reilly, Tyson Barrie, Stefan Elliot, Cam Gaunce. I wouldn't cry for them too hard.
