The wild are going to be a force..could be this years kings...just not sure the shortened season matters to their game
- Eklund

I agree about the Wild.

I am not convinced the Bruins win the division .
- BuffaloHardHat

Who is going to challenge the Bruins for the division title? I can't see anyone in the division make enough improvements to surpass the Bruins. They are returning close to the same team that won them the division last year with the exception of Thomas. The Sabres will not contend without a legitimate #1 center. Steve Ott is not the answer to deal with the Bruins toughness and physicality. Bruins win the division handedly.

I also agree Minnesota should have been on that list.

My Isles are absolutely going to be dangerous. Tavares has 39 in pts in 25 games with his swiss team and now is going to go play with Seguin,Spezza in Spengler Cup. Ek is dead on that Tavares is most underrated star in NHL. Regardless of Nhl,world championships, swiss team Tavs has 129 pts in his 114 games during 2012.

I'm going to assume you posted this because you hate the Bruins with a passion or you've been in Yemen that last couple of years.

Columbus is terrible. They will always be terrible, 48 or 82 games. The Penguins are a threat every year, regardless of the length of season so I think that was a waste of a top ten spot. P.S. they didn't run into a bad matchup in the playoffs last year. Marc-Andre Fleury was just pooptier than Bryzgalov, which is tough to do. Flyers playoff stats were inflated thanks to Fleury's stellar play.

It wasn't just Fleury. The Pens defense was awful.

It's been a long time since I've seen the Islanders and #1 in the same sentence!

It only took a lock out to get it done.

Pens defense also sucked the year before against MTL.

If there is a short season, I really hope the NYI come out strong and fight for a playoffs spot. That would mean less competition for a lottery pick for the Habs

I would say the Leafs in a shortened season are a random quality. It's either a horrible start, great finish, or great start, horrible finish. If they get off to a great start then they probably wouldn't have enough time to blow it. But if it's the other way around....#1 pick here they come.

Of course I still think these sides kill the season so whatever.

The Wild won't play another hockey game. After the union decertifies they will be one of the teams to fold. Good riddance!

Ottawa could give the Bruins a run for their money. I was impressed with them last season.

I can't see that happening. They have a strong fanbase that has only grown since the Parise and Suter signings. Add to that their great prospect pool and you've likely got an elite team in a few years. The first half of last year showed that they're capable of competing. No reason for them to fold.

On the off chance that you're just trolling, WHY NOT FOLD CALGARY, TOO?!?!! AND THE CANUCKS?!?! THEY BOTH SUCK!!!1! LOLOLOLLOLLOLOLOLLOLOOOLOL

I call that sarcasm font
