No , they can not carry their teams by themselves . Crosby and Malkin do this for dominating stretches . Crosby and Malkin take games over unlike other players you mention. - BuffaloHardHat

Bryz never had the starting job.
He was signed for publicity. The guy he plays behind has some of the best numbers in the league. Bryz in the KHL is tending, when he plays, to the tune of (around) a .911 SV % and 2.25 GAA. That's fine in my eyes.
I'm not going to argue with anyone about Bryzgalov for the safety of my laptop and the walls surrounding me. - Giroux_Is_God
Don't try to cover up Bryz lost starting job 'cause he couldn't stop pucks, didn't he had .700 save pct. when he lost the starting job? |

Horton?
I never saw him as a fighter, or you talking overall tough to play against? - sloppyseconds2
Both, he's a pretty good fighter who can hold his own. He is a bigger winger who is not afraid to hit. He's no heavyweight but can lay a solid hit. |

Fleury was having very good regular season but poor playoff performance last year. It was like very good WJC until he shoot the puck on Cobourn ass to score against himself... - SPIDEROCKSTAR
I think he was worse than "poor" I'm sure 1/2 of the AHL starters could've done a better job. He could've had the worst playoff performance for a goalie all time. He was absolutely terrible. And that's being nice. Every shot was a goal! |

He. Never. Had. The. Starting. Job. Listen to me. He never did. Hell he didn't play for like a week after they signed him or something.
He just played and turned away 20 of 21.
From Bill's blog earlier this week:
CSKA already has a top-flight KHL goaltender in former Washington Capitals netminder Rastislav Stana. While one might think that an established NHL starter in his prime would be an automatic upgrade in goal over a player who only had a brief NHL stint and primarily played in the minors and Europe, that is not necessarily the case.
All a good KHL team needs to win is a good KHL goalie. Stana was CSKA's guy before Bryzgalov arrived. He will be their guy after Bryzgalov leaves, assuming the NHL season isn't canceled and Stana remains healthy. So it kind of figured that CSKA head coach Valeri Bragin was going to give Stana the bulk of the playing time, even with Bryzgalov on hand. The fact that Stana put up the best numbers in the league while Bryzgalov struggled in spot duty made the decision that much easier for Bragin.

Bryz was having worse showing at the beginning of KHL season. Around .700 save pct. and lost starting job. Only 8 more years. |

How did this turn to Bryz, we were discussing Fleurys terrible postseason effort!
And damn a .911 save % is TERRIBLE I guess! He has better numbers than Niemi and Rinne!

KHL didn't start this week, the videos were showing in TSN.ca. Bryz save pct were around .700 before losing the starting job. It's not like Fleury can't rebound from the playoff. |

JESUS CHRIST HE NEVER HAD A STARTING JOB. IT WAS ALL STANA.
It never. Was. Bryz's. Job. Never. He was the backup. He was signed as a backup. He didn't lose the job. He never had it to start with. EVER.
He's the kind of goalie that needs to play 65 games a year to stay in the groove. We saw it in Phoenix. It's understandable he was shaky during the beginning of his tenure in the K because he was playing once a week. You can't find a rhythm like that.
But no- he lost the starting job with a .700 SV %. That's all you say.
Don't mention how well he's played of late though. Oh no never....never. |

.911 went up when he started to have .952 save % like Giroux_is_God stated. He was having .700 at the beginning of the season and lost starting job to former washinton capitals goalie. i remember seeing that at tsn.ca. |
