I've waged war on mice lately...(frank)ers seemed to figure out the traps. I don't like the idea of using poison, but they gave me no choice. They went to town on the Warfarin...ultimately sealing holes with steel wool and and so on seemed to stop them.

Another tip, sounds weird but trust me it has an effect: rodents cannot tolerate menthol. Get pure peppermint extract in an oil base (not just the weak poop for baking) and rub that poop on stuff. The area will smell like a mint bomb exploded, but if you're okay with that it is effective in deterring them.

Im avoiding glue traps and poison....for now.

I eliminated catch and release as an option because those (frank)s will probably just find their way right back.

For now, the traps. The spring activated ones. If those dont work I may try a trap where they fall into a bucket of water and drown. While that sounds cruel, its much better than glue and poison.

2 hours of trap with bait and nothing happening....im waiting to hear that SNAP!!

I dont think it matters whether they play or cancel the season as far as the Leafs pick goes. The roster is almost identical to the one that sucked balls last time they played, no reason to think they sky rocket out of a good draft position.

That and the fact that with a season played, only a handful of teams have the chance at a lottery pick, but with a season cancelled, all 30 teams have a shot at picking in the lottery range.

You're forgetting about Bobby Loo. His awesomeness would bring the Buds to the 8-13 range (see Martin Gerber circa 2007). Bring on that lottery - after Columbus or Phoenix get #1, the rest is up for grabs and the Leafs will have a better shot than most to get 2-5.
