December 2012 marks the conclusion of a b'ak'tun—a time period in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar which was used in Central America prior to the arrival of Europeans. Although the Long Count was most likely invented by the Olmec, it has become closely associated with the Maya civilization, whose classic period lasted from 250 to 900 AD. The writing system of the classic Maya has been substantially deciphered, meaning that a corpus of their written and inscribed material has survived from before the European conquest.

so what you're saying is that we should find out if there's a season within 1 uinal. it just feels like we haven't seen hockey in a b'ak'tun!

They thought that their gods wanted to see a guy's beating heart in a human sacrifice after a weird soccer/basketball game.

I know this has nothing to do with hockey but I'm not sure if many of you knew that the Westboro Baptist Church which is basically a hate group that protests military funerals etc, went up to CT to protest the funerals of all the kids and adults murdered in that rampage. They believe that since the state of CT approves same sex marriage that it was god who punished them for those beliefs. Well the Hells Angels showed up and along with firefighters and local residents they formed a human shield so the mourners wouldn't see them and the protesters didn't say a facking word. I think that was awesome and just wanted to share it

Well said. An underground hacker group exposed the groups personal info like addresses, cell numbers , SS#'s etc. From what I read a lof these idiots are lawyers and there group is funded by lawsuits filed against poeple who attack them. I hope they all get what they deserve
