Really like the forwards and goaltending choices, it's nice to see TC finally realize you don't need a bunch of grinder, bottom 6 players to win these tournaments. Every guy on that forward roster is known to make plays and put pucks to twine.
Grit is overrated on the big ice, you need speed and finish, and that's what TC is bringing.
Goaltending should be among the best in the tourny for the first time in a long time.
Defense, you have your big top 4 in Harrington, Hamilton, Reilly, and Ouellet, but outside of them is there a D prospect playing better than Cody Ceci this year? Not from what most scouts are saying, very disappointing as a sens fan not to see him on the roster.
He's a superior player to Murphy and especially to Wotherspoon, who benefits from the insulation of a stacked portland team. |

He wasn't on the team last year, and he didn't get an invite because there are a ton of guys outperforming him. There guys that got got cut that have 2x as many goals and pts. - burn
His injury also might have had something to do with it. |

Or it might be the simple fact that he's no better than what they already have on the team. On the big ice he might get lost. |

Heard Ceci has been poor defensively this season.

Oh, I'm not saying he would have made it, but to bring up his low point total as a reason for not getting an invite and to not mention that he was out of commission for a month is a bit ridiculous.
The team is fairly stacked at C as it is. |

Doesn't look like he's missed any games.
Edit: 10 games, but I looked at monahan, gravoac, shinkarak and they all have 24 games, shinkarak is 29.

The post I quoted you didn't compare him to anybody, just pointed out his low totals.
Monohan was suspended—returning from an injury can be more difficult.
I agree Gaunce's offensive stats this season are underwhelming.
No way he would've beaten anybody on the roster, anyway.
Not getting into it with you today, so let's just drop it. |

At least he is better than Reilly, as per Scooby. Corrado is franking immense. Like proper poop hot. Like the dog's bollocks. He's proper quality. Just didn't make the team is all. Sometimes i do a sex wee in my pants thinking about him. Morning Vancouver |

link?
i know mackenzie didnt put him on his projected team when the camp invitees were released.
think he was off on 3 guys... - hugefemale dog77
Ferraro was on our radio station saying "He had the most impressive camp out of any defenseman". Not so much a homer pick but everybody was excited for a 5th round pick to have developed like he has. I thought he outplayed Wortherspoon, but he's a Surrey guy, so I'm happy he made it. I guess they like his size? |

At least Corrado is on the recall list and will have a shot at the Canucks. It's not out of the realm of possibility he outperforms Tanev. Although unlikely. |

Wouldn't it make for a great story (if season ever gets going) if he made the Vancouver Canucks?

Very possible. There's a hole on the right side. It's Tanevs to lose but Corrado has more tools. He may not be as polished defensively but we'll see. He looked really strong in his AHL time last season. He's improved a lot since then. That would be funny. Another team Canada snub. |

I know I'm biased, but I would like to have seen Mark McNeill make team Canada. If the team needs more grit then McNeill is your guy, he's have a terrific season in Prince Albert and players very well in all situations (including a very physical game). |

He'll likely never have the offensive totals those guys will. Totally different style of play. |

Using your extrapolations, in 8 years he may have x-ray vision and be able to fly.
I love your optimism, MR. Esplen. |

Well, we know Corrado has a better shot, so he has that going for him.
He's also more physical, but again that isn't hard to be than Tanev.
IMO, he's likely going to be pretty equal to Tanev if they have a camp.
The thing that will hold him back is whether the Canucks think he will develop better playing 30 min in Jr. or 12-15 in the NHL. Then they also have look at do they want to burn a year of a contract that pays him 525K I think or roll it over to next year. |
