They haven't been? The NHL's entire game plan in this was to lock the players out/ Crush the Union. And gain massive concession in all areas. Isn't quite working out that way for them. They met their match in Fehr. - MJL
Well unless I'm the last to know I think the lockout is still underway. So what is your point? Fehr has cost the players more money than he will have gained. When all is said and done, the NHL will have compromised a bit in order to get a deal done, but they're getting almost everything they wanted are they not? Save the make whole money which may not have been put back on the table yet as far as anyone knows.
If this whole thing boils down to contract limits and length of contract with or without the make whole money, I think Fehr failed miserably all things considered. |

.....Ryan Miller? Can't tell if serious....
- Deadmau55
yes the goalie that had a great season the same year the olympics were on, and above average other seasons, but best no
stretches of play when he is on he is very good, but he isnt the best, best means consistent, and if lundqvist, quick and others get on a hot streak and elevate their game then they are still better than miller when he is on top of his game |

So if you're locked out, you can't negotiate on the issues? That automatically means that the players who are locked out have to give in on every issue? - MJL
Flyers Suck.

Owners will get massive gains in all areas or the players will never play again
these teams are a hobby for these guys they won't come begging the players to come back - flashfire
In before MJL can condemn you for suggesting the owners are just bored multi millionaires/billionaires. |

Out of Quick, Miller, Hank, and Rinne who is hurt most by the lockout/rust. Probably Miller. After that I'm worried about it being Hank too. |

And half of the owners won't lose money this year, if they don't play. Whats your point? It's cheaper to not have a season than lose millions.
But yeah, Fehr got them right where he wants them. Next they'll cancel the season, let me guess another win for Fehr. - moondawg
Part of me wants the season to be cancelled just to see how MJL spins it as a win for Fehr. |

Why would Miller be hurt more than any of those guys? Do you who's play is most lkely to suffer? |

Unless I missed something I thought his point was about the Philly area not producing a notable NHLer so # of NHLs produced isn't a valid point when talking about a "hockey town". |

It also looks like the 3rd and 4th liners have met their match in Fehr also. |

Its because it's state lines that have my statement ruffling the NJ fan feathers. People familiar with the area, in terms of producing an NHL player, would a guy from KoP not be a Philadelphia product once he actually makes it to the NHL. It's a suburb... |

Rinne and Hank are both 30, so it's not like Miller is an old man compared to them. |

speaking of Bobby Ryan.....an actually trade that was offered and I'm 100% sure about was Vanek for Ryan straight up.....
I talked to two NHL scouts on the deal.....one said I'd do that in a second if I was Buffalo, the other said just the opposite...I'd do it in a second if I was Anaheim.
Just goes to show just how we the fans look at players differently so do NHL scouts who evealuate players for a living. |

Yes, Cancel it. And cancel 2013-14 too, just cause you know Fehr will just brainwash his PA into thinking they have them right were they want them.
The owners can go back to building their billion dollar businesses that bought the hockey clubs as a pet project. |
