Dont disagree that some of the blame falls at Bettmans door, but not all of it. THe player's & Fehr are so intent on looking like they "won", because it looks like they got assraped in 05, that they are throwing money away hand over fist.

When they say they are doing it for future players it makes me gag.The future players will have the opportunity to be whiney self serving selfish millionaires under the deal the owners are offering.

Owners want 10 year CBA with opt out after 8. Players counter with 8 year CBA opt out after 6. Do a 9 year CBA opt out after 7. DONE.

Owners want 5 year max contract with 5% variance. Players want 8 years with 25% variance. Do 6 years at 15% or 7 years at 10%. DONE.
