Agreed, but at this point, you can't stop there. You need to keep drafting them (QB and center) until you hit on one. Use the rest as trade bait if they're worth anything.

I still feel Mark McNeil was the better pick instead of Armia but we will see.

I was upset too when we didnt draft Mcneil. But he is not a top line potential talent. Armia is

I personally believe that we are only scratching the surface with Grigorenko. It’s quite clear to anyone that has ever seen him play even a single shift that he is a generational talent. Actually, I take that back, because that implies that a talent like him comes along once a generation, and that clearly doesn’t go far enough to describe a talent like Grigorenko. Maybe a bi-millennial talent will do, because I imagine Jesus, if in fact he were real, would be the last person that could challenge Grigorenko on a hockey rink.

I feel, as the season goes on, he will continue his reign of terror on the QMJHL, and will undoubtedly turn it up a notch to beat Lemieux’s records for points in a season, and points in a QMJHL career. But, given he hasn’t played as many games, only by about 500 or 600 points.

It is a shame that an NHL lockout is holding us back from witnessing the Freakorenko reign of terror against men. I imagine the true reason Donald Fehr has been kaiboshing deals is that the body of players that he represents is shaking in fear at the prospect of Freakorenko smashing their records, and their bodies. Notice that Sidney Crosby is front and centre in these negotiations? It is obvious that his motivations for continuing the lockout are to preserve his status as the best player in the world. If they were to play, that would obviously go to crap, along with endorsements, and of course, his pride. And Zdeno Chara? He’s there too, and is frightened at the idea of Grigenstein bearing down on him.

It’s a shame that destroying the NHL, by being just too good, has to go on a kid like Grigorenko’s shoulders.

The interesting thing is, he mentions that Grigorenko may be the hottest centre in the wokey (whatever that is) universe right now?

Galchenyuk is on absolute fire, and destroyed Grigorenko's stats in November (and continues to in December).

Given that, and the fact that him and Yakupov (who will undoubtedly be on the first line) have played together, it's quite conceivable, that if they keep Grigorenko at centre, he won't even be on the first line in the WJHC. At the very least, I don't think he'll be the first line centre. It depends if they want to move him to wing or not.

He's absolutely on fire right now. Arguably the best player in the CHL in November.

personally i'm starting to love these blogs by Garth, he knows exactly what hes gonna get from us when he writes this stuff, yet at the same time his resolve and love for Grigo is unshaken, you gotta respect that

plus unlike certain other writers on here....wont name names he doesnt take it personally and defend himself against every second post!

keep up the good work Garth (tho your love for Grigo may be suspect at times lol)

plus its true Grigo is gonna be good, great is still up for debate, i'm definetly glad the Habs chose Galchenyuk though no contest, but when i look down the line i think there's a good 5 teams that are gonna regret not taking him.....for example although they dont exactly need another center, what was Pittsburgh doing choosing Pouliot over Grigo, or even Forsberg yikes

Maybe a couple. But as it is now, for a year where it wasn't touted to have a pile of high end talent, I don't think you'll find too many of their team's fans disappointed in the first 5 picks. The only team in those picks I would say may regret it may be the Islanders. Of the picks 6 through 11, maybe all but 1 or 2 likely regret it.

But I mean, Yakupov is apparently playing quite well. Murray is injured, but is pretty top notch. Galchenyuk is tearing up the league. Rielly looks like he will be starring first line on Team Canada. Reinhart may not make the team. He's the only one that sticks out.

He's only doing it for the hits, he knows other teams fans will come in and comment about how ridiculous he is being with his man-boy love.
Both Garth and the "trolls" are annoying to the rest of us that just want to make useless posts about hookers and blow and sometimes omelets.

Edit: And Gorillas with Kevlar.
