This is part of the reason why the NHLPA just doesn't trust Bettman or his plans nor should they. Time after time, he says the same things and it never works out. Everything the players give, the owners will want to take again the next time.

The only thing that was properly explained was that Bettman would be a complete and utter babbling idiot to use replacement players and expect to make the same profits.

Pretty sure a poll proved it too with the majority of people saying they wouldn't watch a replacement player league.

But I'm sure there are very good reasons why he hasn't used replacement players yet, reasons you just can't comprehend.
