You're good at this!

No Cup is won by one player, but all Cup winning teams have one thing in common, they have 3-4 star performances at least.

Absolutely, it's always a collective effort. You need a bunch of guys to step up in a two month long tournament.

No one will win the Norris other than Karlsson, Letang, Weber, or Chara for the next 10 years...

Umm, Jake Gardiner? You need to give yourself a glove-slap.

No,, you'd need a glove slap if you think Gardiner belongs with those guys.. Maybe in a few years but not right now.

I'm glad we agree that Mats Naslund, Larry Robinson, Chris Chelios, Claude Lemieux and Guy Carbonneau sucked that whole playoff.

I think a lot of people think Rielly can make the jump because Gardiner did. What they are forgetting is that Gardiner spent 4 years in College playing hockey.

Rielly is too young to make the jump. it's better that he spend a few years developing into a star.

To the point on Schenn, well that was a disaster. If you recall, he played very well his first year. Laid out some good hits, and played well defensively. The problem was that Wilson wanted all of his D to be mobile puck rushers. This lead to a lack of D support, and put defensive D like Schenn and Komi outside of their element.

I still believe Schenn can develop into a good D. I think Wilson's coaching was atrocious.

You forgot Bobby Smith, he was very good in the 86 playoffs. That was goaltending and defensive hockey at it's finest, kinda like where the Devils learned to do it.

Query: If the League starts on Dec 16th, Will Burkie still have a self imposed trade freeze?

Not if the Luongo trade rumours are true...

That's the biggest contradiction. Biggest pile of poop.
- burn

Wow. You always amaze me with how unpleasant a person you are.

Where's the contradiction?

All I said was that there are many Canucks fans who have been fans since before the current team's success who have loyal through many successive losing seasons. Truth.

I also said that I commend the Leafs fans who have stuck with the team through the bad years—because I know there are many—but to claim that there aren't those who have abandoned ship would be incorrect.

Where's the contradiction? And where's the reason to get so worked up about my comment?

I pity the people who have to deal with you in person on a regular basis.

i like schenn.. but he will have to become far better with his positioning in order to be effective in this league.

he did good in his first year, off second year, decent third year, bad fourth year...

guys know not to try and carry the puck past him now.. forwards simply chip the puck past him out-skate him to it.. taking away his most impressive attribute which is his physical side.

The only way that Burke gets fired is if the club is a total disaster and finishes in the lottery for the second year in a row.

Only a disaster if he moves the pick.

This is the key for him I agree.

He's WAY too slow to be caught out of position.
