Forsberg won because of Sakic. And its never personal because i'm not even sure you are a person.
- Arctic_AARDVARK

Sakic was definitely one of a kind, but Forsberg was pretty special too. Depth down the middle wins Cups, that's for sure!

I think Forsberg would have had another one if his ankle or foot held up.

It's amazing how they justify all the losing.

... So does all this "winning" over the past few seasons, while have nothing to show for it, also mean that the Canucks are the biggest failures as well?

Are the Canucks the best team to never win a championship besides the 1990 to 1993 Bills?

we have won something, 3 Stanley Cup finals appearances, 9 division championships, 3 conference championships, 2 president's trophy's, 2 lester b pearson's, 1 hart trophy, 2 art ross trophy's, 1 frank selke trophy, 2 jack adams trophy's, 1 gm of the year, 1 calder trophy, 1 jennings trophy.

But you'd rather finish dead last for ten years in a row than watch your team accomplish that? All I'm sayin is it's been fun to watch regardless if we've won a Cup or not. Obviously winning a Cup would be best, but we're doing ok. Until the Sedins retire that is.

What's funny is that Canucks fans act like they've had some part in the teams success. Yes, your team has been much more successful of late. What are we supposed to do about it? I realize the notion of sticking with a team through thick and thin must seem foreign to a Canucks fan.

Well the jist of the conversation was; would you rather have a competitive team or ten years of last place losing. So that's where it comes from. And trust me as a long time Canucks fan, (44 yrs old), we've had many years near the bottom of the barrel.

Datsyuk with 2, he was drafted a month after the '98 Cup. Zetterberg with 1, started with the team the year after the '02 Cup. I don't know why I'm looking this poop up instead of going to bed , I think cause 3 just didn't seem right and I was curious.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh? No.

Did SJ win back-to-back President's Trophies or even make the SCF for that matter? In fact, now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a Sharks fan trash talk on Hockey Buzz!

Just curious, is it better to have won Cups a long time ago and be in a drought or to have never won a Cup at all?

My honest opinion, no sh!t talk. It's better to have won even if it was a long time ago. Leaf fans should be proud of their long and storied franchise. But don't tell anyone I said that k.

But, for the record, bragging about Stanley Cups when your franchise is 53 years older than mine is like bragging because your 25 year old kid has accomplished more in life than my 10 year old.

WOW!!!

An honest and realistic Canucks fan! I... I... I... I'm shocked! This is... completely... unexpected. I... don't.... know... what... to... say? You... weren't supposed to respond... like this. So... confused...

I think I'll just bookmark this page until I've had a chance to collect my thoughts.

Wasn't it only this past playoff season that the Canucks managed to earn a better playoff record than the Leafs since expansion? And that included the current playoff drought of the Leafs and the Ballard years.

No, it's really not. At least not to anyone who's been a fan for more than the last 6 seasons, or so.

I know a lot of people who used to be "die hard" Leaf fans who no longer follow the team because they got tired of the losing, though. I commend the ones who stayed loyal, but don't kid yourself by thinking there aren't those who abandoned ship.

LMAO!The Leafs and there fans believe there better than everyone including other fans! Dont you know every year since 67 there was a excuse why they havent won? The funniest part is that it doesnt look good for them this year if the league settles anyway. Ouch it must really suck being a leaf fan
- 3sabrfns

Oh good, another fan of a team talking poop about winning that hasn't won in 40some years (Ever). Glass houses.
