I love the sound that comes out of them, when someone knows what they are doing, has it in their hands.. - bixll
a lot of it has to do with how the strings are tuned..generally, a slide/steel guitar is tuned differently than other guitars...called open tuning...and the string action is higher as well to accomodate using the slider over the frets

Dear Aaron Ward, Darren Dreger, and TSN,
I am writing this letter to apologize for my previous comments towards you and your institution. I did not mean to let my behavior degenerate, but obviously it did. My intention was not to discredit a respected TV network such as TSN, or respected and beloved media representatives.
I only started my Twitter account in the purpose of interacting with fans, players and media sources as a hobby. This was supposed to be a pleasant pass time and it unfortunately turned into something ugly that I sincerely regret.
In the business of journalism, it is important to have as many friends as possible and through my behavior I have not made many. I am not trying to justify my actions because they were wrong, but I felt threatened and persecuted in my right of free speech when Mr. Ward constantly attacked me for some of my hockey related statements. However, the way I responded lacked integrity and morality, and for that I apologize.
I acknowledge the fact that TSN is a very serious sports network, whose values are in the right place and it was never in my intention to question their integrity. If I did so, I apologize. I also apologize for any personal comments negative in nature addressed towards Mr.Ward, Mr.Dreger or any other member of the mainstream media for that matter, whom I am aware that they are much better connected to the inside sources of the NHL than myself.
I agree that this has gone to far, I repent my actions and I am willing to change my ways. If it is required, I am willing to shut down my website and delete my Twitter account; furthermore, as a sign of good will I have removed any derogatory comments made towards members of the media in this website. If something was omitted, please feel free to point it out to me and I’ll be more than happy to remove that as well.
If no further action will be required, I will keep blogging and letting the fans know my views, but strictly from a hockey point of view. I will not further engage into any sort of derogatory comments via my Twitter or my website, even if provoked. As you see, this website does not have advertisements so it is not a source of income for me; same thing for my Twitter. I do this only for my passion for the game of hockey, and throughout some of my previous comments it seems as if I forgotten why I started “@HockeyyInsiderr”.
I am willing to commit to change my ways if TSN, Darren Dreger, Aaron Ward and whomever else this may concern find it in their hearts to forgive me for my actions and move on. The same thing goes out to my followers and fans, who are the reason why I started my account in the 1st place. My vengeful, immature way of acting has gone too far and I sincerely apologize for that.
I will let everyone know if I am required to shut down the website and my Twitter account. Hopefully TSN, Mr. Dreger and Mr.Ward will be bigger men than I have been so far and will let all of this be put aside. On my end I am willing to forget all of the derogatory comments in my direction on behalf of Mr.Ward as well, as my constant banter must have led to these comments, and I apologize for that.
Hoping for a friendly resolution to everything and in case this is my last blog thanking all of the fans who read my blogs and wishing that the lockout will end soon.
Comparing Schenn to Rielly is a little bizarre. Schenn was a bad pick and Wilson was a bad coach. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Schenn was not a bad pick, his first year was amazing with the leafs, one of our best players. But with the coaching and i still think him putting on weight slowed his game down. First year he was flying high hitting i really started to like what the guy brought. But yeah after that sophomore season and then just decline. He had like 2 good seasons prob with us
