How would sending players on the low end of the pay scale, increase the odds of a deal? The deal would still have be taken back to the PA membership and voted on. - MJL
Are you sure about that or did you read that somewhere?? How come you have all the answers and no solutions? |

As a fan of punk music, I take offence to you referring to fall out boy as punk. |

Nope. I live in Vic. Both my folks are from Edmonton so I grew up on the Oilers dynasty. |

This. Toews is a smart young man and he commands a degree of respect, because he projects it. - John Jaeckel
As you know JJ I used to be a huge Toews supporter, ie Captain Towes until philco and boldirev convinced me to not bother with their mind games. You have to agree that Toews has come across as a very selfish hockey player in these negotiations and that is because of his strong union beliefs. The players need to give more up. It blows me away that they dictate to owners how to run their business. Unfortunately it will take me some time to like some of these guys again even though my closet is full of their RBK jerseys, ebay just loves me! |

Anyone who has ever watched a Toews post-game interview is fully aware that he's a zorch. He's a cocky douche, who has little respect for his opponents, and who has about as much business sense as that diarrhea dump I took earlier tonight... |

Well said and you made a very strong case that he is a piece of crap just like some of his buddies, namely the Crosby girl. |

I used to like Toews until I saw one of his post-game interviews after they played the Oilers. The Hawks won, and when asked for his opinion on the game, he just started laughing, saying that's one they "obviously" were going to win. (frank) you, Richard-head! Then I saw one where the Oilers beat the Hawks, and Toews acted like he was 3 years old. Usually he'll throw a dig or two in against his opponents... The belief that he's mature is laughable.
And the lockout thing... Oh god, don't even get me started on that. I get the feeling 99% of the league doesn't have a clue what the definition of "business" is. |

He's a great player and good leader, but I agree that some of the comments he's made about the lockout and in post-game interviews make him come off as a d-bag. |

He's had a few of those post-game zingers over the years, they don't get noticed as much because he's not on a team that people like to hate, if Henrik Sedin/Robert Luongo or Dion Phaneuf/Phil Kessel said that all hell would break loose. |
