Do you guys even have a blogger?? Bunch of trolls but Richard sure knows how to get your goat doesn't he. Actually it does not take much, I mean all the clowns you oranization has had over the years. Thank god you finally got rid of Ron Wilson - flyerdude17
Simply put Richard, you're a moron. Terrible article by a hack... - MASpence2
If you feel hes a moron or dont care to hear his opinions stick to your leaf blogs. What benefit do you get being in his blog or just disrespecting the guy

Clearly sending Crosby immediately lowers both the collective and average IQ in the room.
I do have a problem with the idea that the teams in the most financial difficulty should go.
Those teams are SAVING money from this lockout. Send the owner of Habs, Leafs, Rangers, Philly, Detroit and any other team actually losing lots of money.
Clouts,
You incomparable nincompoop. Jonathan Toews is one of the brightest guys in hockey. Very smart kid. He also only makes $6.3m per year for 5 years -- a very rational contract for one of the steadiest players in hockey.

yep.
those owners, plus as clouts mentioned from the players side, a bunch of guys on the lower end of the play scale who are truly hurting from losing paychecks. including a few 30 somethings that dont have too many years left.

That is all. - Jam16sugar
but those guys are the minority arent they? of course no one likes losing money, but if both sides actually want a deal done, wouldnt it make more sense to put guys that are actually losing gobs (relative to their payscale) of money and need to get a deal done to stop the bleeding?
just like the owners that are actually losing gobs of money from this lockout?
on the flip side why put in small or even middle market owners that probably arent hemmhoraging cash from the lockout..quite the opposite

It really should not be a difficult concept, but apparently, once again it is.

How would sending players on the low end of the pay scale, increase the odds of a deal? The deal would still have be taken back to the PA membership and voted on.

Since when did the PA start voting on potential deals?

This post just proves how little you know about players that don't play for the Oil. While I agree the Craig Adams, John Madden and George Parros of the the hockey world would be better at the meeting, you're crazy if you think any player is going into the meeting and saying anything but what the NHLPA wants them to say. You clearly left your own emotions and opinions get the better of you in this article. - CanuckYou
He is crazy for thinking they will say anything but what the NHLPA wants and you are what sane for thinking that you know what they are gonna say? Maybe they could use a mind reader such as yourself at the table to get this thing settled.
Totally agree. Sending 2 dummies who barely graduated high school into a negotiation of a $3.3 Billion business. brilliant! - scoot174
Toews had two years in the American collegiate system after graduating high school. That doesn't make him 'smart' per say, but between he and David Backes, you're not going find many better representatives for the upper echelon of players.
