Do you have another solution to solve our center problems einstein? Trades mean we give something up. And theres like no centermans and Getzlaf would be a gift from the hockey GODS
- Mapleleafs_91

Yes cause Getz is the only solution.
He's 27, coming off a bad year....I just dont want to overpay anymore players.

I enjoyed my only trip out West, highlight was seeing three dudes shoot heroin in an alley then we turned the corner and found a 4 star restaurant.

With JVR, kadri, colborne who can put up the same number of points being on the first line which i can bet on
- Mapleleafs_91

colborne is struggling to make the marlie line-up...he is not the answer.

I know we drove from Calgary to Victoria, then south into Washington State (Winthrop Washington is the most beautiful place I've ever seen). We were there during the biggest heat wave in recent history

i know he is just a kid but i am starting to have serious doubts..

seems like he typically plays with no real production and then once in awhile he has an offensive outburst and racks up the points for a short while.. then goes back into no production land

he only really has a year or two to find his consistency, or he will be an AHLer for life

Doesn't he remind of Nik Antropov, a little? Big guy with skill, but can never put it together.

I find BC to be overrated.. The nicer scenery is in Alberta (Banff, Jasper, Waterton) but its pretty cool the first time you see the big hills. Personally there is no place i would rather be than square-tail fishing in Algonquin Park.

not really a kid at almost 23....he is too soft and invisible far too often.
I just don't see his game translating into any kind of nhl success....but I would welcome it if he proved me wrong.

I will be commenting on the Luongo rumor later in the day, but I'll say this, if the Leafs give Vancouver anything close to that for a 33 year old goalie with an onerous contract, they are getting taken to the cleaners. There is very little market for Luongo, in spite of Gillis trying to claim otherwise.

But I thought I read somewhere that it's guaranteed that he will retire in five years. Did someone lie to me?

If JVR works at Centre, then Connolly, Bozak, and Colborne are all disposable.
If he doesn't, then Connolly and Colborne are still disposable.

I just really want the third line to be Kulemin - McClement - Frattin.
All three can hit, all three are defensive, and although McClement isn't the most offensively gifted, the line would still produce decent offensive numbers

thats what i mean, i give him this year and next to find consistency.. after that.. i would say he wont amount to anything much
