no word of a lie.. that his knock

its not as bad as it sounds.. basically his skating is servicable.. on NA ice, probably would be a bit slow for big ice..

otherwise he is supposed to be a stable guy.. projected to be second pairing NHL

It's funny, you see guys skating in the NHL, and they all are pretty good, so you don't really have a proper perspective.

You need to see an NHL guy skating at your local rink with a bunch of weekend warriors (like me).

That's when you can clearly see that you aren't even doing the same thing that they are.

That's something that always astounded me when i first moved here and got into hockey. When i read 'so-and-so' is a good player, just needs to work on his skating, i thought 'what the hell has this guy been doing, how did he get so far and not know how to skate'? Serious scouting blunder.

I've never heard of a soccer player being good, but not very good at running sideways. He can only run in straight lines. Haha

Only later, did i realize the different levels of skating ability.

lol.. yeah.. thats why they say sports that involve skating are so difficult, you essentially not only have to learn a game, but a new method of transportation

Apparently Frankie Corrado is going to be 1/2 of Canada's "shutdown pair" with Harrington because of his "defensive prowess"

Surprised he's not in a potential deal with Luongo with the selling point being that he compliments Rielly.

No no. I'm sure NFLDCanuck thinks Corrado is untouchable.

Cool, it will be nice to see Reilly play for Canada if he makes the team.

I don't know about you guys but I'm starting to feel like the owners have basically said, okay, we know we're willing to burn 20-30 games off the schedule, and we're going to do that and just hold out and hold out to see how much we can get before we cram a a half season in. I feel like it was always the plan to just leverage for half a season but there will be a season.

Reinhart was picked, so Doesn't sound like they are too worried about skating.

It was said way before the lockout even started that December was when the owners would start really losing money. If the season gets saved, this is the time.

And your logic implies that if Reinhart is there then Percy could be too which is wrong. Even if they both can't skate very well on the big ice, at least Reinhart is the bigger, stronger, more physical player.

He doesn't suck but it's pretty ridiculous to expect him to make this team.
