Yes actually. You make your own path in life. Anything else is just an excuse. Plenty of poor disadvantaged people have gone on to have very successful lives and made something for themselves. So many want to disparage NHL players because they make a lot of money. Well they earned that money.
- MJL

So you rate people according to wealth then ? wealthy person = successful at life, poor person = lazy pathetic douche ... the hand they've been dealt in life be damned

cue me shaking my head in quiet disapproval of your general moral fabric

If I am an NHL player making a minimum of 500k.

Knowing that information about how the rest of society is struggling.

I keep my mouth shut, and take the money. ENTITLED idiots.

- flyer_nutter

Nobody likes to lose money. The rest of Society struggling has zero to do with it. It has zero to do with being entitled.

You make your own path in life. Anything else is an excuse. Lots of poor people have raised above it. That's the real World son. It isn't rich person BS, it's reality. You don't think NHL players have come from poor families that struggled? You act like they've been handed what they have. They've earned every dime they have.
- MJL

All I needed to learn about you. Shown your true colours.

Edit: May I now ask, what is your occupation in life?

I love the smugness.

You would have bought me my hockey equiptment eh?

- flyer_nutter

If you wanted to play bad enough, you'd find a way. Get a part time job as a kid and save up the money. In other words earn it. Just like the players have.

As a 6 year old to go get a job? A 10 year old? At 16 and magically expect to be at the same level as Crosby who has played since birth?

Take a peek out from behind the gated community.

Agreed, but in today's economic climate its tough to feel bad for people making $500K a year.

So you think every NHL player came from a rich family? Because how else could they have afforded the equipment? And is being an NHL player the only way to make something of yourself?

Twice now you've accused me of saying something that I didn't say. You won't see me doing that to you.

Its not tough, its insane to me.

Even if they only made 500k, every single one of them they should be happy.

Its about the bigger picture here, instead of just numbers and the "NHL".

We all also know that the 500k thing for every player would never happen..

Dont go to your games of just asking questions. Everyone knows it here.

To be nice I will answer yours. Most NHL players have come from a family that could afford to put them into a pair of skates and equiptment. Being an NHL player is not the only way to make something of yourself. I am personally going to be a registered nurse. If you would like to know more about my path, read some of my posts above.

Now please. What is your occupation in life?

Edit: And just for fun, because I know you will just report it instead of answering. As a child who was 6, or 10 how did you expect me to afford hockey fees and equiptment? I should have found a way apparently.

you're fun

talking with you is like playing ping pong against a wall, or arguing with my wife.

He spun the pride to principle after u gave him quote after quote of his... Too funny.
It must be exhausting constantly attempting to spin, dodge and change the subject everytime hes proven wrong. Which is often

I'm really not interested in your path. That is your business. My occupation is my business. You have no idea what situation most NHL players come from. And what sacrifices their families made for them. And the sacrifices they made to get where they are. You just see them as entitled spoiled brats, because you don't like the money they make. Do you even know any of the details of the lockout?

Predictable! I shared some of my story in life with you. I would appreciate to know a little about yours. You could just lie, nobody would know. I all I wanted to know what the occupation, your job.

And yet, pride was never mentioned in any of the quotes. And principle was. But here you are again ignoring the content, and focusing on the poster. You have to do that because you can't refute my points. So unless you're willing to focus to the subject, I have no further need to discuss anything with you . As always, I'm open and available to discuss any of my opinions.

Sorry not falling for the game.

Switching the topic with just another question.

If you dont want to talk about certain things that is alright with me. You just keep showing your true colours.

Go tell that 10 year old kid who cant afford to play hockey he should find a way. Or I guess your attitude is "I dont feel sorry for him".
