I don't know why people buy official NHL gear anyway.

I bought 3 Habs jerseys last year from China. They all look great. Spent $40 for the 3 of them including shipping. You can only notice the diffence when you really look close at it anyway. Other than that, it's used to blend in at the games and washes well when I spill my $13 beer on it....

- l3ig_l2ecl

$40 fr 3 or $40 each?
I got mine for $30 each but we bought like 30 of them.

Not rich... Pays 25k a year for seasons tickets. Oh that makes a lot of sense.
- woopstash

must be a typo, I could see 2.5 K a year, and "not being rich", but I doubt there are many who could even afford 2.5K a season.

I find it sad that alot of you want to bash this guy cause he has money to burn. What does that matter? If most of us had cash to burn would we be any different?

The guy is pissed about the NHL situation and his opinion is every bit as vaild as yours, the fact that he has money is irrelevant. He is a fan like the rest of us, and we should be sticking together not blasting a guy cause he has more money. Crying about that make you look like jealous babies.

- RedTide

I find it sad that you chose to create a secondary user ID in order to anonymously rip on people. .

You're missing the point of all this rhetoric, the overall premise of his blog is to try and say look at me and how special I am, and how I've given so much to the NHL and the game of hockey and if the NHL can lose someone special like me then everyone should put on their tin foil hats and hole up in their panic rooms or secret under ground bunkers because I'm special to the NHL and game of hockey and what my decison to leaving the throws of NHL fandom should mean to everyone is that of the equivalence to the last cycle of the mayan calendar.

It's the end.

Too much?

at a hockey game, after playing a hockey game. there is nothing, and i mean nothing better than an ice cold beer.

never in my life have i seen someone drink a guiness after playing a hockey game, just thought id throw that out there.

thats a puke waiting to happen, man!!! i cant believe it! lol

- big_dion

Different mindset I guess. I play 2 times a week and haven't had a beer after a game in maybe 2 or 2 and a half years. Much prefer a freezing cold gatorade.

Then again I am playing at 10h30 at night so maybe that is a factor.

Definitely will be back as a fan, will still go to games when I am given tickets but just won't spend another dime on tickets myself. Was spending too much anyway.
Luckily I have 2 clients who have season tickets in section 101 so will go anyway.

- willey101

Blah Blah Blah!!!

Next thing you know an acquaintance with season tickets in the Reds offers you the tickets for their original value for a game against Boston. You think about it, it's only $230 for a pair of Habs tickets vs the Bruins....
Couple days later your driving home regretting buying 6 $13 beers for you and your friend. However, you don't regret buying the tickets....

Meh...they both are representing other people, they're doing their job. One is representing billionares, smart business men, the other is representing cavemen who play hockey.

i just absolutely cant stand bettman, its to the point where i see his face and im instantly..."i hate you".

i am not out to lunch though, well, not fully...bettman has done some good for the game, but hes also done some bad. this to me though was the last straw with bettman, i am waiting to hear breaking NHL news, either bettman has been killed with a Zdeno Chara slapshot, or the season is starting half way through december, id be happy with either.

I only go to games when I get tickets

I usually try to go when I don't get tickets, it makes it more of a challenge.

Dude I travel quite a bit and have developed a liking for European beers. I just cannot stand Canadian Beers at all. I prefer Belgium, German beers or perhaps my favorite, Guinness so much more.
- willey101

Sorry, but that's just Canadian self-loathing, poser crap.

What, you refuse to drink Canadian, but Heineken is delicious?

If you don't like the mass-produced beer, Canada (and the US, for that matter) have a great microbrewery culture that has developed over the last decade.
