Why would staying in Quebec City show a commitment to the Sabres? Going to the KHL might have been better, the Oilers wanted Yakupov to go over there both did well in the CHL last year while in their draft years. Wouldn't it have been better for Grig's development? By the way, why would I say he's lying about his age? With a comment like that you shouldn't be questioning anyone's wit or knowledge.

Troll . The Sabre's thought he would better chance for development under Patrick Roy in Quebec . Not really concerned what Edmonton thought was best for their prospect . Also I commented on how typical troll response on how they think Grigorenko is lying about his age . You never hear that from a Sabres fan . My you are an anoying troll. Your lack of knowledge on these subjects is comical . And yet you continue to make a total fool of yourself . Time to find the rangers blogs and move along

You are pretty rude. I came in here and stated that Grigorenko is not tearing up the Q, which is fact. It seems you lack the knowledge to understand that, and who ever said he lied about his age? It seems you made that up yourself, which in it's self is pretty sad. But keep calling me annoying, boring and stupid, you have yet to provide a reasonable argument as to why Grigorenko is dominating a league, while the stats indicate otherwise.

The Q is the weakest league in the CHL. And Sherbrooke is the weakest team in the CHL. Grigorenko isn't even leading the league in points which is weird considering you blog about him twice a day. I really hope Grigorenko fails miserably as a prospect just to make you look like the stupid idiot you are. It's cool to talk about prospects every couple weeks, but talking about one player twice a day is ridiculous.
- zsd14

What else is there to talk about . Every other Blogger is covering every possible angle of the lockout including your own Mr Cloutier. Yes Garth is over doing it and we would like to see him talk about other prospects . But you do not have to come here and read it . And do you really feel it necessary to bash our Number 12 overall pick ? Sorry we have not had the luxury of having the number 1 overall pick 3 years in a row.

He has the best per game point percentage in the league and is the overall goal scoring leader . He is 1 point behind the overall point leader with one less game played . Don't let the facts get in the way of your pointless comments. You came here wanting to bash a Sabre prospect , you were not invited . Are Sabre fans making their way over to Ranger boards and bashing your up and coming talent ?

Do you understand what dominating means? He is on one of the best teams in the league and tied for second in points with three other players. Pointing out he is not dominating (if he was dominating he'd be far and ahead of every other player in the league) is not bashing him. Where did I say he sucked? He was overrated? Will be a bust? Fact is I didn't. You are just being over sensitive. BTW Drouin has a better PPG.

Kreider is also 21 years old with a few years of Divison 1 Hockey.

20 Chris Kreider LW L 6-3 225 Apr. 30, 1991 Boxford, MA

Not an 18 year old in his second year of Major A hockey

25 Grigorenko, Mikhail C 1994-05-16 6'02" 191 L Russie

Okay now tell us how he is lying about his age . Give it a rest . You worry about your prospect , We will worry about ours.

- Maximum Signal

How can you compare both?

Grigorenko plays in a rather weaker league than the AHL. Yes one is older but he's one of the youngest on his squad I'm quite sure of that, unlike Grigorenko who plays on his 18.

Where did you see any Sabre fans say he is dominating . Besides Garth . He is developing into a good player . He has long way to go . Any sensible Sabre fan will tell you that besides Garth . Why do you feel it necessary to come over here and tells us he is not that good ? You just need to move on .

We know our Blogger Garth is a cheerleader . But that is our job to distinguish actual facts from Garth's cheerleading . Be concerned with Ranger's prospects and their development . We can think for ourselves and your comments just become as annoying as every other troll that has to come in and show their lack of respect for Garth . Garth never posts in these actual threads . Sabre fans use them to discuss the comments made by Garth and other things going on in the organization. If you have a problem with Garth and his commentary , take it up with Garth . Do not come here and bash our prospects because Garth can be over the top

Grigorenko is younger than Yakupov though, might be a better thing to stay in the 'Q.

He'll be available in the 2nd round most likely, his small frame will scare teams off. But man can the guy skate and score goals.

Nobody is comparing them , just pointing out the age difference and the difference in stage of their development they are at . I have no problem with Kreider . Think he is great and he is going to be the best player in the future on the Rangers. This Ranger fan wanted to point out how happy he is to have Kreider - and he should be . But also wants to Bash Grigorenko at the same time . Don't get it . They are different players at different levels of their development .
He drew the comparison when saying how happy they were with him when talking about Grigorenko.

I never compared either actually. All I said was I'm happy to have Kreider. And please, when did I bash Grigorenko? Just because you keep saying it, doesn't mean it will become true.

Lots of sick top-end talent. If there's a lottery there will be a lot of pissed off people in some capacity. Imagine the Kings winning or something like that?

Personally my money is Barkov as the top pick. But then I said that last year so regardless I must stick with it until proven wrong

Maybe there will be a lottery , like after the last lockout . We could be the Lucky ones this time . Like Pittsburgh was last time in getting Crosby . My brother lives in Halifax and raves about Mackinnon , seeing him play in person , my brother says he has another gear none of the other players on the ice have
