Sounds like the union will start decertification on Monday according to the Fan in Toronto.

I hope it proceeds ,it would be a lot of fun. Everyone is a free agent ,no salary cap and no draft . We could have a second line of Benn RNH and E.Kane with Weber on D

With a 50 player limit teams like the Rangers Toronto Chicago Vancouver Boston Phil Pitt Mtl and Det could all have a payroll of 100 Million while teams like Phx TB and others would have 50 mil payrolls

I find it comical. 2 or 3 players speak out against the union which is about .3% and everybody who is in bettmans pocket or under his desk think the players are cracking. One owner speaks out, 3.5% and they sweep it under the table. Sometimes I wonder if these guys guys have an alarm that goes off on their cell phone every minute or so reminding them to keep breathing :noyeah I'm looking at you Dr Claw and Mad Cat aka Cloutier and Iggys bff, as well as others)

Decertification was a tactic planned by the NHLPA with Fehr's leading the way.It is more of the threat of a decertification than an actual decertify.

Fehr knows once the threat and process begins the NHL says Holy SH!t it finally hit the fan.

The owners and Bettman have been playing hardball , this is the unions way of playing hardball

It will be the end of about 10 teams ,all kinds of personal labour lawsuits and getting rid of the NHL draft ,free agency entry level salarary caps and personal injury lawsuits by Pronger and Crosby as the start of the fiasco. It could cripple the league for years.

I heard weeks ago that if the NHL was to lock out this season the NHLPA would go after getting rid of the salary cap, The fun is just beginning.

I agree that 10 or so teams would be gone. Mr bettman and Daly would be no more. But it will never happen. However I would love to see the dead weigh teams in the league cry when they lose everything because they feel the big boys should pay for them to play on the same playing field. I had a conversation the other day with a guy on here who said that the league expanding and keep supporting the non hockey/dead weight franchises has nothing to do with why the league is losing money

Don't be surprised if they start the decertification process on Monday. It will get court sympathy seeing the PA just made a proposal on Thursday and it was shot down minutes later. Perfect time to start according to Fan Radio

Its merely a threat for leverage. Again I would like nothing more then to see bettman and his armegedon expansion ideas to be a thing of the past.

I know it is only a threat , but it would be so much fun to see it happen.

Remember this. Bettman and Fehr need each other. They are the same man. Selfish, gutless little weasels. Neither gives a $hit about the league or the players. But without labour disputes neither would be needed in his profession.

"I'm Back! Did you miss me?

Probably not, seeing as there isn't much going on right now and half the people who read my blog usually don't like it. "

Half the people who comment on HB just like to disagree and tell people how wrong they are.

Oh, and Nucks suck

That Boston game was the best pure hockey game I've seen in a long, long time. It was fast paced, physical and there was just a ton of action in every period. It was exciting to watch as a fan of the game.
