People visit this website hoping to get some insider news on the NHL and the lockout situation. Writing something like this is an embarresment on not only the writer but the teams fans that are being blogged about (Edmonton). Keep up the good work.
Edmonton trolls constantly harass Garth about his Grigorenko blogs. I'd rather read an article on my teams garbage prospect anyday.

10:20am - For some reason, Vincent Lecavalier begins to yell racial slurs at Bettman.

I didn't find it as funny as your comment, but at least it's not the same regurgitated garbage day after day. And seriously if you come to HB for inside info you need help.

i like Bettman, and you will see me wearing an NHL jersey with the name Bettman on the back..I wonder what number I should put on the back..
NO..don't say three..three lockouts isn't all his fault..the players are every bit to blame for not accepting a very acceptable CBA three times so STFUA!!!!

This lockout has gotten entertaining, and I'm beginning to think that us hockey, I mean NHL fans aren't missing the game so much, moreso the day to day arguements about flames vs oilers..who's better...or why the sedin sisters suck..etc etc..
but isn't it more fun to follow the CBA? There's only two teams involved, it's a constant battle of divisional rivals..we're all in it only for the drama..the actual game of hockey isn't that special, the players are all dope heads..maybe following the lockout is more fun??!!?
Maybe...more drama equals more fun

How Donald and Steve Fehr continue to justify their salaries is a mystery to me.
- Maxbone

Look at the NHL's intial offer, and look at where we are today

That is justification enough

Oh please... The first offer is never meant to be taken seriously. Anyone with half a brain knows this. The only thing Fehr does is wait wait wait wait until the owners eventually change their offer. Anyone... ANYONE can do this. What took Fehr 60 days to do (by waiting) could have been accomplished in 2-3 days of negotiating.

You losing your touch Rich, barely cracked a smile on this one.

Any news on the Barons front? Have the kids proven they are all busts yet? It must happen sooner or later, many have told us it is true.

Ok 2 questions. What did Jacobs do? I keep hearing references to him, but I obviously missed something. And 2nd, what the hell is tl;dr? I see it everywhere now, is it some kind of YOLO poop?

And as for the blog: "Bold strategy Cotton, let's see how that works out for them"

Your usual delusional bile.

The players have already lost more this season than if they would have just negotiated from the start and got it done. Idiots.

If agreement is made- how long do you think it would take to start the season- I mean with all the players overseas etc? Earliest game would be maybe just prior to Xmas with a short camp or? If they dont get a deal done I hope they cancel the entire season- the charades of the 2 sides esp. the NHLPA is getting a tad annoying- yet I keep following it...

No, no, Fehr's a genius negotiator because he doesn't negotiate.
It takes years of experience to not be able to do something.
