I like it.

Toronto/Blue Jays fans just don't like it because he's been here already and was fired. Yet all the managers that they "think" they want had also been fired from their previous teams.

The team Gibbons managed, was he supposed to make the playoffs with that roster? Would any other manager have made the playoffs with his roster?

He's a good manager, knows how to handle himself, made good calls with the bullpen and doesn't let ego's dictate his decisions. I like it...it's a boring choice, but I like it.

Actually yes he was suppose to make the playoffs with that team. However, one year the pitching was awesome, the bats sucked, the next year the bats were awesome and the pitching sucked.

But time will tell with this hiring, I still didn't see the Jays making the playoffs next year no matter who they hired.

I am going to watch them this Friday ... and my son will be in the 6-years old Timbits game during one of the intermissions

Sometimes, my favorite part of the games I've been to are watching the timbits play their game.

Even if you aren't interested in this topic it is a current and relevant topic, esspecially in this barren wasteland of relevant hockey stories.

The kid is a polarizing figure and people have strong opinions on either side of the coin. Plus he started the year like butt and seems to be on the upswing.

Actually, I bought one last week - $25/lb ((frank)) - and I haven't seen any difference in my muscle mass. I must have done something wrong.
