Just give up on this bum already. There isn't one person who jumped for joy when the Leafs drafted Kadri, not a single person. Everyone watching TSN turned to whoever was with them and said What The (frank) are they doing.

I know what comes next, someone quotes me and says (frank) off Sens fan or (frank) off troll, but seriously accept defeat on the Kadri pick. No trolling involved, I like to see all Canadian teams do well, we admit extremely bad picks when it happens...reference Daigle.

One game fluke gets you player of the week?

Edit: I'm walking on sunshine.

Kadri can be the next Jussi Jokinen. He'll have decent assist totals at the end of the season and will score some shootout goals along the way.

Oh, and just like Jussi Jokinen his team will miss the playoffs!

From a person who watches a lot of live Marlies games, he has been playing much better this year than last. Lots of hits (mostly rub-outs) and he actually back-checks now. Still has awesome puck control, though does get too fancy sometimes, though when it works, you're on your feet.
He's progressing fine. Saviour? No. Good skill guy? Soon.

He's clearly a bust - like all Leaf draft picks. No question.

Only reason Kadri got player of the week honors is because many (weak minded) fans believe he will be part of a package sent to Vancouver for the always overperforming Luuuuuoooooooooooooogo. (which of course he won't be)...

but the MERE thought of a player becoming a Canuck ... with their great winning tradition and fantastic player development ... and now the sky is the limit.

or something like that.

Does this mean that Kadri will be a player constantly in need of prodding and poking to get the best out of him?

Kadri's biggest problem is, and always has been, his attitude. The sense of entitlement and spotty work ethic has made him a frustrating prospect to date.

He's got lots of talent -- nobody denies that -- but everyone knows talent isn't everything in the NHL. Lots of 'talented' players don't end up having great careers.

Has he turned a corner? I guess only time will tell. However, he CERTAINLY doesn't need people telling him he turned a corner. Because that could, very well, cause a backslide.

So yes, I think Kadri will always need someone to light a fire under him to keep him at his best.

I've been saying that all along.

each time he has started a stint with the Leafs, he looks good for about 3 games... then he slowly slides into oblivion, gets sent down, and sulks. I no longer believe the Leafs have mishandled him. I believe they have been right about his attitude problems and have acted accordingly.

LOL surely not, did you see the look on his face after Burke took Kadri?

he was furious!!

im not a massive kadri fan, but i still think hes going to be a legit 2nd line player with PP time and shootouts, he may not be the all star he was made out to be when they first signed him, but he should still work out for the leafs, in a trade or on the team.

How about as a St. Louis fan? Dude you're lucky to be even posting, we can pull the plug on this account at any time.

As for the rest of you, stop the trolling or you will be gone, we have been lenient lately because of the lack of participation due to the lockout but we will start to ban again if it keeps up.

Its almost like he's started slow this year... Like he did last year, and the year before, and the year before, and the year before.

If only it was a predictable pattern, that people could identify, and not lose their poop over every season.

- Feeling Glucky?

if only there was something called a trend

kadri always starts slow.. gets a wake up call from the coach and then he always heats up

every single year.. over and over

Jays hiring John Gibbons??? wtf is that?

AA did so well last week, this week he is not off to a good start.

- Scooby_Doo

I like it.

Toronto/Blue Jays fans just don't like it because he's been here already and was fired. Yet all the managers that they "think" they want had also been fired from their previous teams.

The team Gibbons managed, was he supposed to make the playoffs with that roster? Would any other manager have made the playoffs with his roster?

He's a good manager, knows how to handle himself, made good calls with the bullpen and doesn't let ego's dictate his decisions. I like it...it's a boring choice, but I like it.

The two Connor's are tearing it up for Erie, not bad for a 6th rounder, 4 points less than the 3rd overall pick on a worse team.

i have no issue with having Gibbons back... need a strong personality in the manager role with all this talent being brought in

Don't tell Habs fans that, they're still gushing over their 6 first round picks last year.
