not as happy as Buffalo fans with Grigorenko..
- Feeling_Glucky

38 pts in 21 games, any team should be happy with that, imagine what will happen when he is not bored and cares all the time....

What about Jets fans?
- Dgrdnr

Yes I think they are pretty happy with what they got in the position they were in.

They are really happy with Scheifle though.

Neither side is really willing to compromise for the good of the game, and, until BOTH sides are willing to do so, this deal will not get done.

Expect the following:
1. An announcement today that talks will not resume until Monday at the earliest
2. The NHL on Friday cancels all games though 12/31 along with the all star game
3. At some point in mid to late December after more worthless talks accomplish nothing Gretsky, Lemieux and perhaps a few more hall of famers get involved. It accomplishes nothing excepting getting our hopes up; the league then cancels all games thru 1/15 and sets a deadline of 12/31 for cancellation of the season.
4. With no deal in place by 12/31, the league cancels the season.
5. Both sides rush to meet on 1/2/13, the league reverses the season cancellation and says that if a deal can be done within a few days, they will play a 48 game schedule starting in mid to late January
6. After a teasing us all that a deal is imminent, the talks break off and the season is officially cancelled
7. Both sides spend February and March blaming each other thru attacks in the media.
8. Both sides finally begin to negotiate in good faith sometime around mid May.
9. A deal is struck in early June, revenues go to 50/50; there is no "make whole" provision, teams are instead allowed to walk away from one contract and buy out as many as they like with no cap implications. Free agency goes to 28 and entry level deals and arbitration remain the same. The only win for the players is no contract length or structuring restrictions and a slight increase in revenue sharing. Deal is for 8 years and in 2021 all this crap starts again!
