that's the silver lining for Toronto....and if the cap does go down significantly with a new deal as all indications are it will, a lot of teams be up against the cap and have issues, while Toronto will be sitting there with a big fat amount of cap space to spend

I almost dont want a season played so that we can have that shot at first overall. Mackinnon could..no guarantee, but could...be the next Stamkos, Hall, Seguin, Toews, etc. Could do wonders to this teams future...they sure (frank)ing need it, thats fer her sure.

You mean the "save the Penguins" formula? Leafs wont drop that low with the odds they'll have. I could see as bad as 7th or 8th but not that low. Top 10 looks solid though this draft, IMO, deepest in a long time and not mostly dmen as recent years. Perfect for the Leafs and their needs.

God I hope not. Closers are to unpredictable and Janssen showed last year he's definetly up to the task. If anything I can see them going for another starter or even more likely a reliver, especially if Darren Oliver doesn't come back. Just my opinion they have so many options right now .
