Oh ya, I hate ME because it's the same as a slow moving pile of poop game whose action sequences should just be a quicktime event since they are so poorly done and needs 78 sequels to a sequel to make enough money from fanboys to make a third game.

i still think someone should ask crosby if he'd be willing to share his money with the other players that dont make as much and might be starting to run out of $$

since he seems perfectly okay with having the owners do that.

- Dozzer

Don't get me started on Crosby. I remember him scoring the golden goal at the Olympics. Playing and winning the Stanley Cup, getting injured and still trying to play in game 7. I had respect for him as a hockey player back then.

Fast forward to his injury and his wussie little press conferences. How all of a sudden, it was horrible, that he was assaulted with a check to the head. All the while, his team-mates, "see Matt Cooke", are out headhunting.

Now the labour dispute. Sidney Crosby is showing that he's a narcisist. He thinks that the world should rotate around him and to hell with the lower paid members of the Players Union. Crosby has perfected the art of Whining to the point that I can't stand to listen to him. From this day forward, I have lost total respect for this guy and if he were to score the overtime winner, in the next 5 Olympics, I'd still feel the same way about him. If I ever won an autographed Jersey of his, I'd burn it!

And Schutlz is leading the league in Scoring!

Marlies obviously outplayed them and deserved the win, but you can't expect to keep those guys off the score sheet.

In a league where Kris Knewbury is a point a game player is not a huge accomplishment!

Actually video games have some positive benefits like hand eye coordination, problem solving, reaction time... Depends on the game. Many game are educational too.

Also an interesting fact, video games have contributed to human evolution by changin our dominant digit from the index finger to the thumb.

“Guys aren’t going to give in when it comes to contracts now, it’s not going to happen,” Crosby said. “It’s not money, it’s the rights as a player within your profession, that’s what I think guys are definitely going to stand strong on. And it’s ridiculous to try to change that after the success of the league that everybody’s had here the last seven or eight years.”

you mean the owners arent lining up to get the game going again when 60% of the league was in the red last year?

its really quite simple why the NHL and PA cant get this done... the league wants all of its franchises earning money and only have a couple teams in the red at most.. so they look at things from a team by team perspective..... the players on the other hand view the league as a single business.

the players need to adjust their thinking.... period... the NHL is not one business, its 30, and 18 of those businesses lost money last year.

not surprised at all that the owners arent in any big hurry to continue losing money.

Contracting issues will not stop teams from losing money. For the league to take such a hard line stance on this is asinine. Especially after getting their 50/50.

Anyone else find it funny that Crosby is this big spokesperson for the PA, yet he represents the Penguins.

The Penguins = a team that was the verge of a financial collapse, which was only able to survive due to transfer payments, bail outs, profit sharing, etc.

The league saved the Pens on numerous occasions, including the Crosby lottery draft. If Crosby had ended up on a rich team, do you think he'd be so inclined to care about the financial woes of the poor teams? Probably not.

meh, I have no time for them, I work on a computer most of the day, the last thing I want to do is play a game on one or on a gaming console when I finish for the day.

and the players need to realize the owners simply do not care

they are willing to sit out.. they dont like losing money

so for the owners its sit out and lose a little money.. or play and lose alot... not a whole lot of motivation for the owners to get things going is it?

the owners will get their way in the end.. the sooner the players understand this the sooner we get back to hockey

cause owners look at a stagnant asset in a better light than they do one that loses money
