they knew when they signed though that the new CBA was going to possibly effect their pay roles, hence why GM's 'may' have tossed out more money.
though i do agree, i think the players should be honored that money...but there is no denying they didnt know when they signed the dotted line that this was going to happen. - big_dion
I agree, if you sign a contract, you should honour it..
Palyers too....when they sign a big fat deal, they should stay in shape and play to the level they were signed at, or take a reduction accordingly. |

they knew they would have to fight for it at the very least.
the league is making this too complex...
the simple solution would be to have the cap hit equal the payout and stop averaging it over the length of the contract.

the NHL is being such a baby about this whole thing, pound out the (frank)in deal and lets drop the puck, this is so childish.
players lose no matter what, owners cant lose here...players dont play all season, whammy there goes a year off their career's and millions down the drain. owners (some of them, dont lose millions) and others like TO lose hundreds just because we are not playing hockey.
not to mention everything else attached to it...bars, restaurants, beer sales, chicken wings! lol - it all adds up.
its brutal. |

If it was that easy then a combination of revenue sharing increase and cap lowering should be able to make that happen quickly. - Cfser
the players would never want to see a reduction in the cap tho
that and the teams who lost money werent operating at the cap anyways. |

Focusing on a win and not seeing the team's weaknesses and where they need to improve, that's Leaf management...
But in all seriousness, haven't you gotten tired of watching the Leafs blow 2-3 goal leads and losing critical points when chasing a playoff spot? It's happened so much these last few years, a 3 goal lead means nothing to me when watching them play. - 13sundin13
They had a lengthy streak of third period comebacks early last year, if I recall.

the owners can lose.
by signing a cba similar to the last one they continue losing money
if i was an owner i would simply say (frank) that.
right now the owners need star players to draw a crowd..
they cant do that unless they sign deals that but them into the red.
so dont sign those deals?
then the fans stop coming because their teams arent competitive
so they sign those deals.. and lose money that way
right now the owners have a choice of signing deals that lose them money, or give up having players with drawing power and then their attendance goes down.. and they lose money |

of the 3 points mentioned by Fehr,
- who is paying for the lockout is # 3.. The Fans is the answer..
But do they really expect to be compensated for this?? |

Why is it bound to happen? Why is it logical for a team to lose a four goal lead? It's not logical to NHL teams who have any aspirations to make the playoffs and it shouldn't be logical for these guys. I'm happy they won, but disappointed they couldn't put together a complete game, something the organization has struggled with since the last lockout. - 13sundin13
It's bound to happen because the Barons have a handful of LEGIT NHL STARS playing for their team. Nuge, Hall, and Eberle are already big time NHL guys.
They're big name players in a lesser league. They're going to light it up. |

I never played the others. It's pretty sick, great multiplayer. Only issue is that like MW3 they seem to have bought the "Killcam that doesn't show what happened." Not sure how games can f up a technology they've had that was perfectly fine since like 2007 with Cod 4 |

Don't buy MW3, it's a poop game compared to Black Ops 1, Cod 4 and MW2. I'm going to wait a few weeks playing Halo before I buy Black Ops 2. |
