The only crews that did squat where I live were from Canada. There were a bunch of BC crews and several crews from Quebec.

I've always thought there should be extremely stricter restrictions when it comes to distances of trees and power lines, especially in events like these. No matter where I lived, may it be Edmonton, Toronto, wherever, I see trees way too close to lines... even only a few feet away.

did you have any trees breaking from that little snow last week? guess it was ones somewhat damaged from the storm but still standing... on 5th ave in brooklyn after about 2" of snow they just started coming down with some pretty dramatic loud cracking sounds
