Yes the game sucked, but knowing there are actual players who may help in 2-3 years is nice for a change.
Would you prefer a team of career AHLers that make the Bulldogs good but have nothing to contribute to the Habs eventually. The Oilers have been last for a few years now, but I'd take that potential anyday of the youth.

i'm not complaining about the Bulldogs.

the game itself was beyond brutal. But even if it had been great, it wouldn't have made a difference. the whole idea was to get closer to something we all missed, but this could never have brought us closer to it.

It was the equivalent of wanting to see the next Roger Federer and ending up at a match between two low ranking women.

The AHL may be the next best North American Hockey League, but it's such a far cry from NHL hockey.

I was at the game as well. Syracuse are the Calder Cup champions, they have 16 players returning from last year's roster. I think I will give it more than a few games before calling every Bulldogs players busts. Well, except for Palushaj. He blows.

From the blog:
And it wasn't because the Bulldogs stunk up the joint. They really did.
We were looking for an alternative to the Habs, and we got nothing. It was an experience that would have the most ardent hockey fan wondering if they're disillusioned about how great hockey really is.

I must have misinterpreted your comments/blog.

Conclusion: Much like Toronto, Montreal is not a hockey town. It's an NHL town.

Speaking of misinterpreting things, I'm surprised EE doesn't do a another official language blog, just to avoid that kinda thing. I'm sure had he had done one in French you would have understood his point perfectly.

I think It could be a hockey town...just not in a place like the Auditorium de Verdun

The Montreal Juniors were a mess, publicity-wise.

Junior hockey never worked in Montreal. Not just the latest edition of the Montreal juniors.
