Who created L'office Quebecois de la langue Francaise? Doesn't matter who was in power the past 8 years. Parties in power don't tell them what to do but they do implement their recommendations. Political parties have the power to decide what they implement and not. As a party, you pick your battles for the good of the province. Is this one really worth it right now?

Also to answer your question, it's the moment now more than ever, considering French has been regressing continuously in the past 30 years.

Justin Trudeau says it's too soon to declare victory in the federal Liberal leadership race despite being perceived as the front-runner.

Trudeau was at the party's special general council on Saturday in Sorel, Que. It was the first meeting since the Liberals' five-month leadership race officially kicked off on Wednesday.

He was just on the biggest French show (Tout le monde en parle), about 1M people watching every week. I think he did a great impression, he is a good public speaker, not pretentious at all. We'll see what team he is able to assemble...but he will be the leader of the party, there is no doubt. He will be the Prime Minister as some point, not sure if it's the next election but it's only a time.

NDP will take a HUGE hit across the country once the liberals sort their poop, socialism will never take power in Canada, many who voted for the conservative won't vote for the NDP but would for the liberals, left-center is more attractive that total left for many. Most people doubt the NDP could run the economy.

No but eventually people will work in Quebec but live on the other side of the border in Ontario and the lack of income taxes will hurt
