not going to lie, I say this with complete untrollingage. But the oils big three havent played very well. Shultz on the other hand is fukking awsome. - vancity787
I haven't watched the last few games, but from what I hear, Hall, RNH, and Eberle are looking lazy as of late.
As the days of this dreadful lock-out have rolled on, I keep losing interest in the NHL, which by all means should be renamed the Not playing Hockey League. I have however, grown my interest in NFL football, and will continue to shovel my money and support into football. The NHLPA is being led by a meathead that put his negative stamp on the MLB, and is now pushing to leave his stamp on the great game of professional hockey. Sorry NHL, but i'm done. I am now an avid fan of a league that plays games, and I will here on out get my hockey fix from the CHL and the WJC's. So long!
I think both the nhl and nhlpa are playing with fire. First they both drag each other through the mud, then they take their sweet ass time to actually negotiate, then complain and then spend a week to end up looking pathetic yet again. If im involved in this im embarrassed with this whole process. They have lost and respect from everyone looking in. Reality is when they finally have this settled what is the repair plan to fix the damage. Owners do have other
interests to fall back on but do they really want a failed business in their portfolio. Players on the other hand will take a massive hit in something they can never win. So after some fans pack it in and sponsors walk away i want to know what the nhl and nhlpa have planned when revenue shrinks. This i feel will not end well for everyone involved and ot should have truly hit home when molson said something this week. When there contract expires the powers to be in that company will question whether its worth the risk to continue a partnership with the nhl. My prediction is in 10 years league will be 20 to 24 teams and max salary for any player will be 3 to 5 million tops and teams spending no more then 40 million on payroll. Both parties need to wake and more so nhlpa and see what the nfl and nba see and that's a split down the middle sooner rather then later. Gary and Donald walk away and let your henchmen be the voice of reason
you're an idiot if you believe the NHL media spin about the leaked memo, there's no reason to believe the offer was intentionally excluded for malicious purposes - if it was an attempt to mislead the players it was a pretty terrible attempt, at the very least. Fehr has not kept the players on a leash like Goodenow did, so he had to know there was a good chance it would get leaked.
I personally find the NHLPA's demand for the full $1.8B more troubling right now, as confirmed by Fehr. That seems to tell me there hasn't been as much progress on the single most important issue as we've been led to believe the past week.
What is to gain for Fehr if he isnt making any salary in the lockout by making sure the lockout continues. - poisondhearts37
I'm sure he has money, to me he's got a huge ego and wants to try and get exactly what he wants. He did it in baseball, keeping the salary cap off; now he's trying again. It's just a game for him he doesn't care about you and I. I'd even venture to say Bettman cares more about hockey as a whole than Fehr does.

But again, just my personal beliefs. - BarDownBobo
I believe Fehr is more worried about the players than the game which makes sense since technically that's what he there for to look out for the players best interests.
He said during his press conference that the two sides are not far apart. Sounds like Fehr will say whatever to whomever.
You can almost relate and change it to *He said during his press conference that the two sides are not far apart. Sounds like Cloutier will say whatever to whomever.

they're just cruising until the big time,,,same problem with Marlies...except Gardiner, Komarov and Rynnas go figure
I wouldn't classify Fehr as someone I like either, but it is pretty damned funny to see the dude that wrote the blog falling so hard for Bettman's current spin statement. What a knob.
At least when he writes his useless blogs about hockey (like maybe proclaiming himself an expert on Klefbomb being a wonder kid without even seeing the games he's played this year or some other amateur crap) the comment sections are worth reading.

I find it very sad that it has gotten to the point in our society today, that the only way that the losers of the world, with poor self esteem can make themselves feel better. Is to get on the internet, hidden by anonimity behind thier keyboard, and trash and insult other people, with nothing to add to the conversation.
Not only has the whole routine gotten tiresome, and boring. It just makes the person look really pathetic, and in many cases ruins what can otherwise be good conversation, and discussion.
Nothing in the history of the world has ever been written that will be agreeable to everyone. We all know this.
If you don't like,or agree with what is written, that is your opinion and that is fine.
Many people find these blogs entertaining. Nobody is entertained by your stupid hating posts!
If you disagree, then bring up the ideas you don't agree with, and stimulate some discussion.
Simply stating how bad the blogs or bloggers are, with nothing else to add. Does not make you look cool, and doesn't entertain anybody. It just makes you look PATHETIC!
can't we just watch hockey? playes,r bettman, and fehr are all being queer about this situation... this problem should have been solved in June last year. BTW fehr looks high all the time after these meetings.

So it is possible to be born with no sense of irony eh? Interesting.
