And you know this how?? You maybe be right or your could be very very wrong!!!
Just Sayin!! - Flyers_1488
I am often wrong. I am sometimes very wrong but I am never very, very wrong. I just think that there is too much to work through to get a deal done in the next few days. If everything goes well -- maybe a week. And there is still lots of room for things to fall apart. The good news is that they are now serious. |

does that logic not apply for RG3 or T-rich or Doug martin? - LetsGoIsles
It certainly does. However, Luck is so ahead of them at this point... It's basically his to lose.
RG3 started out great, but has looked pretty average since Week 4. Luck on the other hand that not only remained consistent, but is noticeably improving. He's breaking records for God's sake!! Is RG3? No. |

I like that they are talking consistently now but I don't like not hearing the gossip. This third lockout has me trained to want gossip at all times. Ek is like Hockey's Perez Hilton, only he's not just for girls. |

The CBA/lockout won't be officially over for at least another week or longer, but, we may hear about an "agreement in principle" over the weekend. These things take time once the agreement is made. The owners have to officially vote on it (with all present, I believe), the Union has to officially ratify it, which takes another drawn-out process of getting a bunch of people in the same room at the same time.
This is how lawyers make their money. |

That sounds like it could be right, but even then, they started 3 weeks to a month after the announcement. Training camps, plus they had to get the deal officially ratified. |

Obviously talking isn't working.
Cage matches would be a better idea at this point. |

They need an agreement by the 19th-20th of November to start on the 1st of December...plenty of time, 12 days left. |

I'd rather they take a few extra days, or a week, to make sure all the loopholes are closed that caused a lot of problems with the last CBA, and ensure no new new are opened, so we don't go through all this poop next time.
US Thanksgiving, Dec 1st, Dec 15th... or no season - whatever, just don't cobble a last minute CBA to get games going that without proper due diligence. |

Right, I don't think the NBA needed to take that long. I think they wanted to start on Christmas Day for TV purposes. However, I think the fact that neither side is saying anything is actually good news. My point is that we're going to hear rumors from the likes of Bob MacKenzie and/or Pierre LeBrun about an "agreement in principle", which both sides will deny as a matter of protocol, and then hear about the deal officially signed a week later after it has been officially approved by the owners and then ratified by the NHLPA. |

The NFL and NBA played this same game. They're saying "nothing is solved" because it isn't officially solved until an agreement is actually made. |

If they can lay out the foundation by early next week, it would give them almost a week to finalize the documents and get the required approval on both side, it's possible. |

Yeah, but next week its the Dolphins visiting the Bills.
It's a key matchup in figuring out who finishes 6-10 and who finishes 5-11 in the AFC East. - Atomic Wedgie
Pretty sure the Dolphins will end up higher than both of those records considering they are already 4-4, I am sure they have at least 2 other terrible teams on there schedule beside the Bills. |

The Media basically said that not a lot of info has been given out, and that both sides are keeping to themselves right now. And that is a good thing. |
