Former U.S. president George W. Bush accidentally voted for Barack Obama today at a polling place near his Crawford, TX home.
According to local reports, the two-term Republican was confused by the instructions on his electronic voting machine and mistakenly cast a ballot he intended to discard.
Witnesses say Bush argued with poll workers for several minutes afterwards in a effort to redo his vote, but in accordance with state law they ultimately denied his request.

Nathaniel Read "Nate" Silver ( is an American statistician, sabermetrician, psephologist, and writer. Silver first gained public recognition for developing PECOTA,a system for forecasting the performance and career development of Major League Baseball players, which he sold to and then managed for Baseball Prospectus from 2003 to 2009.
The accuracy of his November 2008 presidential election predictions—he correctly predicted the winner of 49 of the 50 states—won Silver further attention and commendation. The only state he missed was Indiana, which went for Barack Obama by 1%. He correctly predicted the winner of all 35 Senate races that year.
I just went by this guy's predictions - baseball stats applied to politics and he called the 2008 election almost perfectly.
So Jeb Bush in 2016? |

i can't tell if he's being sarcastic or not because it's Howard, but if he is, i imagine he's referring to the popular vote.
the demographics of the vote are a bit disturbing though. |

again, that margin of victory is not representative of the popular vote. take Florida. you can argue that Obama won 29-0 when in reality he will end up winning by less than one percent of the vote. |

doesn't matter - electoral college is what counts and what Silver predicted Obama would win by approx. 100. |

you're completely missing my point. that margin of victory is not indicative of overwhelming national support for Obama. it's like you're telling me that a football team that lost by 14-13 got destroyed because they were outgained by 250 yards. |

It's closer to being representative than what we have in Canada, majority government with 40% of the popular vote |
