Very quiet right now.

Had a late night last night, friends came over, back yard is a friggen mess

Having a coffee and a cig assessing the damage.

Ate some alligator last night, it wasn't bad, but the thought of it now makes me want to puke.

who knows, if it's based on the 2005 draft formula, the habs would have only 1 ball......so they would get kessel

My counter argument is that Phil Kessel and Lupel were top ten scorers last year, despite no threat off secondary scoring and no real centre. SHould the Leafs have two scoring lines and should Kessel and Lupel be able to line up occaisionaly against secondary defensive units, they should be able to dominate. JVR is a potentially high end offensive player and should be the large dominante power forward the Leafs have sorely missed. Anyone watching Kadri in the AHL and in his brief NHL stints knows the kid has mad creativity and amazing hands. He's only 21. Not to put too fine a point on it but many players such as future hall of famers Daniel and Henrick Sedin had very slow starts to their careers and were for a time considered "busts" . I bring them up only to show that you can't put too much stock in fan reactions which are not usually based on sound scouting but rather confirmation bias and groupthink. NO guarentee hes a star, but theres a better chance of him being a ppg player than there is of him being a 35 point dud.

Boston Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington says he has a role waiting for retired pitcher Pedro Martinez, if he wants it. Cherington says he's had discussions with Martinez about rejoining the Sox as an instructor. Martinez was in town on Saturday at the Greater Boston Sports Collectors Club convention.

Just off the top of my head, players who were considered busts after being drafted and went on to be ppg players, but not until after they were 23 or older: Both Sedins, Horten, Vanek, St. Louis, Joe Thorton, Datsyk, Franzen, Zetterberg, You could probably go on all day if you googled it.

Jesus H you guys: if comingling with rambling Hab fans - I quit paying attention when your new BFF added (frank)ing Komisarek in a list of Habs who could "fight well" - and racist humor is all that is left than just close this (frank)ing place down man, cause hab-loving xenophobes rank pretty high on the list of douches I usually want to punch in the face. Seriously. No hockey = no hockey talk? Mr. Moderator, tear down this forum! And I've got your free speech whines right over here!!! Embarassing. The bunch of you. Especially you Toad you decrepit drunk mother(frank)er. Rule #1: The only acceptable form of intolerance is habophobia. Rule #2: Habophobia is (frank)ing mandatory.
