What if an 10 year old kid wanted to pick a team 15 years ago? Would he pick the Isles or the Sharks? Probably not. That kid would pick a high profile team that he/she has heard a lot about, which would have been Stevie Y and the Wings. I agree with you that some fans are wagon jumpers, don't get me wrong, but a fan of 15 years should be considered legit. Pens fans that joined in the 90s and stuck it out through the bad years and are still Pens fans today shouldn't have a knock against them because they got to draft Sid and return to greatness. If the Wings fans stick with Detroit now that Lidstrom is gone and impending doom is upon them, then she should be given legit fan credit.
