Can't wait for Mikey Miss to display his ever growing hockey knowledge

Can they drop the interview and just have Eric talk by himself?

Ah, yes. The guy who ran with a sensationalized second-hand story in his Philly Sport magazine and started the whole "Lindros and Joey Merlino are good buddies" flap.

Funny thing, a few weeks ago I met Mike Misinformed at an Eagles tailgate. I found him more tolerable in person, but it's mostly because I couldn't hear a word he said.

Most people are less of a smacked-ass in person than they are online or on the air.

My favorite was that being on a penalty kill a lot was actually advantageous for the flyers against Buffalo in 2011 because they had such a good PK. He somehow went on to say how being on the PK was actually less tiring for them too..

Elitserien (and Allsvenskan on Viasat), SM-liiga and the Swiss NLA have good sites, but they are paid subscription services and, for whatever reason, region-blocked outside their respective countries.

Quite a few Elitserien games nowadays get, um, "unofficially streamed" for free but you have to hunt them down. NLA games are harder to find streams of, and SM-liiga is virtually impossible (but they always post free game highlights on the official site within an hour of the game's completion).

The Laola and Servus TV/internet broadcasts of the DEL are good quality, but unfortunately they only show two games per week. Ditto the Austrian EBEL.

I have no idea why leagues like the NLA are making it so hard to watch their games considering how many stars are over there. These leagues should be capitalizing on the lockout. I understand some people didn't think the lockout would last but IMO if the winter classic gets canceled, then thats all folks. Hopefully then some countries will open up their webcasts to the rest of the world.

Simmonds has to put up with more crap then anyone and it's truly disgusting. Check out the hefty fine levied against the team.

They are capitalizing by charging people to watch. They probably make more now that people don't have the NHL to watch. What would be gained by making it free? Once the NHL starts up again, those leagues will lose most if bot all the viewers to the NHL again. By charging the subscription fees, those fans may continue to follow even after a lock out is lifted since they already paid.

Just my thoughts.

your right, BUT WHY MAKE IT REGION LOCKED?? Also leagues like the AHL and JR leagues charge WAY to much to watch their games...more then the nhl. I would consider getting an AHL package for HALF of the NHL package tops... its insane.

It's the same thing in Canada. I get 4 regional channels of Sportsnet but can only see games televised in my region. In fact, you simply can't view the games on the regional channels outside of yours regardless of the amount of money you're willing to spend. Once the game is over the channel becomes viewable, just in time for poker or a strongman competition. It pisses me off so much.

Regional restrictions are what really bugs me about the NHL Gamecenter apps. I would've sprung for Gamecenter on my phone and on my PS3 if I could watch Flyers games when they're actually being played. But local blackouts mean I can only watch every other team. It defeats the purpose, to me.

I will say all your beer bottles remain bottles when they're empty and not strewn glass so there's that.

Your penchant for hitting on everything that moves and brain to mouth gasms will forever draw me directly to your side after a couple drinks. My life is less without you pre and post game, I don't care what anyone else says.

I guess the difference is that I actually get the games in my region, go Flames.

This is true, but if your on vac game center is great for watching other games. Plus I only get center ice to watch the jets games lol. Game center is better then center ice though, last year I had to get an extra cable box to watch 2 center ice games at the same time, this year I can watch them both on the same computer!

The AHL is a league I would think would try and reduce prices and gain some extra attention during a lockout, especially with a lot of young NHLers hiding away there during the lockout.

The rumors I am hearing are if the owners lower AHL ticket prcies, they will be forced to lock out their players.

Absent the AHL players moving overseas, they will then be forced to play with various and regional mighty mites teams.

I think he was referring to online viewing prices, not ticket prices.
