It was falling.

You just cant tell in that ariel view. Funny part was during every intermission or break to fix the ice the snow stopped. Play resumed, snowing like hell.

and so were born thousands of young Canadian hockey players that never would have known the game, if not for the Heritage Classic.

I am a Calgarian, but Commonwealth Stadium is 10 times the facility of Ralph Wilson Stadium.

It is a World Class Stadium with private suites, restaurants and 57,000 seats between the goal lines.

You have no idea what you are talking about.... as usual

I mean no offence by this, my munky friend, but how old are you?

Because it wasn't too long ago that the majority of Canadian franchises were dragging down the league, and the Canadian Assistance Program (brought in by Gary Bettman) was created to stabilize Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa.

Guess where that money came from? US franchises.

Without it, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa would no longer be in the league.

You might want to think about that for a few minutes before harping on US franchises.

Im didnt take offence at all, im in my thirties. i agree with you the xanadian assistance fund was a huge thing and it did help struggling canadian teams. it was because of a strong american dollar and a poor canadian dollar. 1 difference tho is that it wasnt that people in canada didnt want to.see games in xalgary edm or van, it was because they couldnt afford it. i will say that there are plenty of americans that would kill to see hockey but xant afford it, same provlems we had. difference being tho the league didnt put teams in canada in markets that wouldnt work. as of now there are teams that are bringing the league down in markets that cant support a team. not because the money isnt there, but because theres just no fans.

18 teams are not struggling, theere are 18 teams across the league(including Canadian teams) that are plus/minus 6-10 million of breaking even.
they are 6 or 7 teams that are struggling badly.

Other than the fact that all the seats are between the goal lines and seating capacity, how is that different from Ralph Wilson Stadium?

Serious question, are you a stay at home mom, or just unemployed?

I really am blown away and not only how automatic you are for getting back to this little hecklefest's every couple hours.. But how much excitement you gain from it?

You're most likely nothing more than a government tax dollar sponge living a dream that could never be lived in the real world.. Being a keyboard warrior. Gotta feel big somewhere hey pal?

Other than that, I nailed it. You're about as irrelevant as one can get. You seriously lack content, even as far as the Internet pissing match goes. Your schtick is garbage, and has been done many times. Get a life, make some use of yourself.. And go get some sunlight. Useless!

If the "winter classic" is the NHL's signature event the NHL is in alot more trouble than this lock out. Playing a regular season game outside against the Penguins is no big deal.

"Ralph Wilson Stadium is crumbling".... who's quote is this>? Some guy name Ralph Wilson
http://www.buffalonews.co...YANDREGION/121009335/1004

Commonwealth Stadium in is under going another upgrade to host the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and has hosted numerous international events.

If Ralph Wilson is so great, why do they go to a dump like the Roger's Centre every year for one game?

He is quoting someone else as a joke. That is not his original quote. It is a quote from some purse-dog named Joel who has been hanging around here lately.
