Yes that's all true.


Leafs didn't offer to put his statue up this early which is what his decision hinged on.

I doubt that Joffrey Lupul has more inside knowledge than 80% of the other players not playing in Europe. Its to stay sharp and just in case it does go all year, he isnt scrambling like that 80% if the lockout becomes permanent

Riemer hasn't been worse longer than he has been good (even disregarding the injury). It's about equal, which is why it's too early to tell either way.

I actually wasn't taking a stand on how I thought Reimer would do lol, I was very guilty of sitting on the fence with this one. I never once said he would do well either, I just said, nothing is for certain with Reimer, good or bad. UG's pretty convinced though it'll be nothing but bad, and that's a valid opinion. UG just has to recognize he has no factual evidence to say that Reimer being bad is a certainty other than his gut-feeling and based on 30 or so games last season.

The Lupul discussion though, we were legitimately on opposite sides of. I didn't agree with his comparison to Tucker and McCabe, and I think I presented my case properly. In the end, its all moot. But if we have a season, that will be the debate throughout, do we or don't we move Lupul.

il chime in on someting i dont know who im agreeing with or against but in no which way does Tuckers end have any comparison with Lupul's..

Tucker was a hard nosed grinder who thrived on the PP and pissing people off. He also laid massive hits for a small guy...tucker gave 110% every night in his young career and it caught up to him.

Lupul is not a hard nosed grinder, but a solid strong winger who can win battles but is able to use his size as opposed to a straight grind like Tucker. Lupul has more natural offensive talent, but certainly is not the 110% pitbull like tucker was every night.

huge difference in their game and lupul should easily have a few more NHL seaosns under his belt as long as his back doesnt cause problems.

id also like to add that i think adding lupul increases the chance of keeping Kessel. so i for one am all for keeping lupul, and i also think hes the biggest pimp on the leafs.
