Pascal Dupuis, just because every time I watch the Pens this guy makes things happen and plays hard and I say I wish he was a Leaf.

Phaneuf I'd say is underrated insofar as he gets a comical amount of flak because of his stupid face that you want to hit with a shovel and he plays for the Leafs. Not exactly underrated, but overchirped I guess. Luongo is a guy I'd put in the overchirped category too.

Mike Brown is a fourth liner, but he's a great fourth liner, if a fourth liner can be underrated he is one.

Before this season I thought Del Zotto and Filpulla were dark horse underrated players, but they got more notice this year, I could see them getting even better.

Phaneuf gets only half the flak he deserves. He is a slightly more physical version of McCabe. I am a Mike Brown fan, a 4th liner who can skate, fight and isn't a horrible penalty killer. IMO Gunnersson is very underrated.

Yeah, Gunner never gets mentioned as a steal for the Leafs, he is is solid. Brown's a really good skater, that's the big bonus with him, he's a very tough guy but he has wheels too. I would say Phaneuf is significantly more physical than McCabe though and is an underrated outlet passer.

He is talanted. Not a great skater but hits like a truck and has a cannon of a shot, but dumb as a bag of hammers. His hockey sense and on ice decision making is that of a poor atom player. There is a reason Cgy got nothing for him, because nobody wanted him.

Fair to say that you don't find Neon Dion attractive

Hamhuis is so underrated he doesn't even get mentioned by other teams fans in the underrated category. He takes the cake for sure. He's had better defensive numbers than Chara over the last four years. Yet he never gets mentioned and he never get's put on anyone's Olympic mock teams. Wouldn't they want a top two NHL shutdown defenseman on the team. Arguably Canadas best in the defensive zone......

LOL.

You've singlehandedly made him overrated.

A little late, but here goes...

Martin Erat - Very solid, consistent player that's put up good numbers in a defensive system.

Patrick Elias - Doesn't get enough attention for the very good player that he is and has been year in and year out.

Karl Alzner - One of the best defensive d-men in the game.

Dave Bolland - I hate this guy, but he's one of the best shutdown forwards in the game.

Brooks Laich - I know that he got a nice contract last summer, but this guy is one of the most complete players in the league, and a good leader.

Nate Thompson/Adam Hall - Two of the best checking forwards in the league.

Kimmo Timonen - Quietly one of the best all-around d-men every year.
