Im not doubting you, just curious how you got that information. Do tell...

My buddy has been a Net season tixx holder for 12yrs, so he has connections within the Nets organization. that morning of the announcement, he told me the news before it even hit the air waves, and I didnt believe him until it started to be reported. then after he told me it was a 25yr lease, which I didnt believe until that ended up been reported.
When he told me the news about trying to buy out the remaining lease, I asked my guy inside the Isles organization, and he confirmed and heard the same thing.

Even tho it will be a good thing for the Isles moving to Brooklyn, just wish they put a winning product on the ice before they relocate, and at least give the coliseum one last dance.......for old time sakes.....

Are any of those Senator Fans who witnessed the cups they won still alive?

Of course there is. Change at Jamaica for it. Same distance to MSG.
- Isles316

It's not elementary. There are plenty of places in Brooklyn that you have to take a subway too from the LIRR. Actually there is more than not.

I'm buying what you're selling, Dee....but understand WHOSE fault this is: the ENTIRE government. The Republicans AND The Democrats (which is why I say there isn't much difference between what they DO, no matter what they SAY). The businessmen in the area who didn't want Charles Wang to succeed in being the developer for that land, and so created heaping loads of bullsh*t excuses why he shouldn't be allowed to, convincing the old, angry white people that it was going to cost THEM money (which was the Town's and County's idea, not his), create phantom "traffic", and bring an "undesirable" crowd (take that as you will) into town. Lastly, the people who voted against the referendum, who put the final nail in the coffin.

Charles Wang never wanted to leave "Long Island" (and we both know what I'm saying here), but they gave him no choice....it is what it is. In the end, you WILL like one thing about this move so much that it WILL make you forget (or forgive, as it were..), in time: the team WILL be better. UFAs WILL sign here. We WILL get actual press coverage. It will be a PROFESSIONAL, top end team, instead of a second rate joke, like a Championship-level British soccer team that makes the EPL once every five years, so it can lose 30 games, and get relegated again the next season, which is what we've been FOREVER. That WILL eventually make up for it, guaranteed. Give it time.

Even with the great news about the new building the injuries do not stop.

You can take the LIRR coming from the Island or the Subway if you're coming from the city. It's a no brainer

Think you have to switch at Jamaica. I'm pretty wacked from the Louis CK show tonight though. It gets tired being this awesome.

Not at all. I said in an early post its just like taking the train to MSG but you get off at jamaica walk 5ft and get on another waiting train to take you right to the arena. What gave you the idea that I said it was tough getting there by train?

Well, you said you have to take 2 trains, then there is this whole walking stuff... it just sounds like such a hassle... Is there maybe an express train that one can take from their house straight to their seat?

Not really. Getting off the LIRR and walking up a couple flights of stairs to the garden is a bit easier.

This is a day late and a dollar short, but the Barclays Center is literally outside of Atlantic Terminal. It is the same exact thing.
